Friday 8 March at 8.00 am- for all other players. THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED ON CLAY COURTS IN MELBOURNE The main venue is the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club Early rounds will also be played at Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club, East Malvern Tennis Club, Hawthorn Tennis Club and MCC Glen Iris Valley Tennis Club This is an ITF Regional Championships 1 tournament. Available ITF ranking points are second only to the World Seniors Championships. Points awarded for ipin singles, doubles and mixed are: Winners 240, Finalists 180, Semi-finalists 120, Quarter-finalists 90, R16 loserss 75, R32 losers 50. Key dates: Entries are now open Entries close- Monday 18 February 2019 Entry withdrawal deadline- Thursday 21 February 2019 Notification sent to players drawn to play on Thursday 7 March- by Saturday 2 March 2019 Draws published on www.92computing.com.au- Monday 4 March 2019 Times published on www.92computing.com.au- Tuesday 5 March 2019 Winners and finalists of all ipin events will receive prize money. Winners of all ipin events will each receive a medallion. Matches will commence at noon on Thursday and at 8.00 am on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday Wilson Tour Red Clay tennis balls will be used for the tournament.

Tournament information and regulations Entering ipin events 1. Players must have a current ipin to enter these events. Players are limited to entering a maximum of 3 events. 2. Players are limited to 1 singles and then can enter 1 or 2 doubles and 1 or 2 mixed with a maximum of 3 events. 3. Competitors must be over the age specified for events entered as at 31 December 2019. 4. Players must enter on both www.itftennis.com/ipin and www.92computing.com.au (CAT). A current ipin is needed to enter. 5. If entry is made first on the ITF website and then on the CAT website you may be able to choose the option Quick ipin fee payment check on the CAT website. This will save re-entering data if the required conditions are met. 6. The ITF fact sheet can be viewed on www.itftennis.com/seniors/tournaments/calendar. 7. Payment of entry fees is to be made on www.92computing.com.au. 8. The ITF entry form allows only 1 entry in mens/womens doubles and 1 entry in mixed doubles. 9. Players wishing to enter in more than 1 doubles and/or 1 mixed, must enter on the ipin site for 1 doubles/mixed, and then enter for all their events on www.92computing.com.au. Currently, the ipin entry site only allows for 1 doubles and 1 mixed. 10. Entries close on Monday 18 February 2019 (at 14.00 GMT on 18 February). These events will be played as knockouts. However, some events may be combined and/or played as a round robin if there are insufficient entries to allow a knockout format in terms of ITF Regulations. Singles will be played as best of 3 tiebreak sets. Doubles will be played as 2 tiebreak sets and a 10 point match tiebreak. This format will only change if there is a significant interruption to play because of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances. 11. Doubles competitors are expected to enter with partners. Players entering a doubles event without naming a partner shall accept the partner allocated by the Tournament Director. However, this does not impose any obligation on the Tournament Director to find a partner. 12. Consolation singles events will not be run because of limited court availability. Players eliminated from all ipin events will be eligible to enter the social doubles on Sunday and/or Monday. No additional entry fee will be charged for these events. 13. The draws will be available at 5.00 pm on Monday 4 March 2019 at www.92computing.com.au and www.itftennis.com/seniors/tournaments/calendar and at the Kooyong tournament box. 14. The times and location of the first day s play (Friday) will be available at 5.00 pm on Tuesday 5 March at www.92computing.com.au and www.itftennis.com/seniors/tournaments/calendar and the Kooyong tournament box. 15. Subsequent days times will be available at www.92computing.com.au and www.itftennis.com/seniors/tournaments/calendar and at the Kooyong tournament box by about 7.00 pm on the previous evening. 16. The deadline for withdrawal of entries is Thursday 21 February 2019 (at 14.00 GMT on 21 February). Withdrawals should be made in writing to the Tournament Director. There will be no refund for withdrawal after the deadline specified above. Any withdrawal after that date should be accompanied by a medical certificate and will attract an administrative fee. 17. Regulation tennis attire must be worn at all times during play. CROSS TRAINERS, JOGGING SHOES AND OTHER NON- REGULATION SHOES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED; herringbone soles are ideal for clay tennis courts. 18. Some matches may be completed under lights when it is deemed necessary by the Referee. Entering social round robin doubles events 1. Players do not need an ipin to enter these social round robin doubles events. 2. Players can enter these events at the tournament box. There is no entry fee. 3. Mens and womens social round robin doubles will be played on Sunday 10 March commencing at 1.00 pm. 4. Entries for these events will close at 4.00 pm on Saturday 9 March. 5. Mixed social round robin doubles will be played on Monday 11 March commencing at 10.00 am. 6. Entries for these events will close at 4.00 pm on Sunday 10 March. 7. Entries will also be accepted during the tournament by the social doubles organiser. 8. Players who have entered ipin events and have been eliminated from all these events prior to the above closing times, will then be eligible to enter the social doubles. There is no entry fee. Manual entries- TSA will provide the relevant form on application.

When ipin entrants are eliminated from all ipin events prior to the closing entry dates for social events, they are then eligible to enter the social events.. Administration Information- Tournament Personnel Tournament Committee: This committee will comprise the Tennis Seniors Australia Vice-President (Ian Worland), the Referee and the Tournament Manager. Tournament Manager: The tournament will be managed by Bill Sale who will oversee all aspects of the tournament and be responsible for coordinating the activities of all tournament personnel. Bill can be contacted on 0487 664 224. Assisted by the Referee, he will oversee the implementation of the duties and responsibilities of the Tournament Director as they apply in the tournament box. These include the implementation of the ipin playing schedule, directing the activities of the court supervisors and tournament box personnel and having primary communication with the players during the tournament. Referee: The tournament Referee to be confirmed. This appointment is now being made by Tennis Australia. The referee will be responsible for ensuring the tournament is played under the "ITF Rules of Tennis and the "ITF Seniors Regulations". He is also the final authority on all questions of tennis law, including the possible suspension of play. He will also be responsible for entering all results on the TP Seniors software. Tournament Director: The Tournament Director will be Steve Longworth. He will receive and collate entries and also assist in the preparation of the draw. He will be responsible, with assistance from the Referee, for the preparation of each day s playing schedule. The Tournament Director will be unable to be personally present at the tournament. Social doubles organisers: Kerin & James Tulloch will be managing the social round robin doubles being held on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Julie will be returning for her 5th year at the Oceania Regional tournament. Julie is qualified to provide these services which are free of charge to the players. With over 30 years experience in soft tissue injuries, her unique deep ligament release treatment has both long and short-term benefits. Massage: Julie Williams will also provide massage services. Julie specialises in deep muscular and tendon release. These services will be charged by Julie to players and other people utilizing this service. A room has been made available to the tournament. Dress attire for Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club Players are reminded of the dress attire when visiting the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club clubhouse during the tournament. Tennis attire is acceptable, or you are required to have smart casual street wear (Men must have a collared shirt please). Tournament welcome cocktails This will be held on Friday 8 March between 6 pm and 7.30 pm at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club. This function is open to all players, volunteers and their partners. It is being offered free of charge by Tennis Seniors Australia as a way for the Executive to show it s appreciation to the players participating in the tournament and to the great work being done by the many volunteers. Terms and Conditions of Entry 1. The tournament specified on the Player Entry Form (Tournament) is sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and (in the case of the Oceania Regional Championships) the Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF), approved by Tennis Australia (TA) and managed and administered by Tennis Seniors Australia (TSA). The tournament will be run by the Tournament Committee. 2. By submitting a Player Entry Form for the Tournament, each player agrees to be bound by: these Terms and Conditions the Tournament Information and Regulations including the eligibility requirements, and the Rules of Tennis as approved by the ITF, the ITF Seniors Circuit Regulations and TA s national policies including, without limitation, the Uniform Tennis Anti-Corruption Program, the TA Code of Behaviour (including its reference to spectator behaviour and interference), the TA Member Protection Policy and the TA Anti-Doping Policy (which may be obtained at http://www.tennis.com.au/about-tennis-australia/reports-and-policies/policies). If there are any inconsistencies among the above documents, these Terms and Conditions will prevail. 3. Each player wishing to enter the Tournament must submit their Player Entry Form together with their ITF IPIN (if applicable) and the relevant Tournament fees in accordance with the details set out in the Player Entry Form. To be eligible to enter the Tournament, each player must be 35 or older as at 31 December in the year the Tournament is held. 4. Non-Australian residents: must ensure that they satisfy all Australian Visa entry requirements in order to participate in the Tournament. who have a current MYTENNIS ID are covered by the Group Personal Accident Insurance policy but only while they are in Australia who do not have a current MYTENNIS ID are not covered by the Group Personal Accident Insurance. Therefore all non-resident players should take responsibility for their own personal injury, medical and travel insurance arrangements. 5. By entering the Tournament, each player declares that they are medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Tournament. A player must immediately notify TSA of any change to their medical condition, fitness or ability to participate. Each player acknowledges that TSA will rely upon this declaration as evidence of that player s fitness and ability to participate in the Tournament. 6. Each player authorises representatives of TSA and TA to use and disclose the medical information provided on their Player Entry Form to obtain any medical assistance, treatment and transport for them as deemed reasonably necessary by TSA or TA. Each player consents to any such medical treatment and/or transportation and acknowledges and agrees that they will be responsible for any costs associated with any such medical treatment and/or transportation. 7. Each player acknowledges that TSA and TA require the information requested in the Player Entry Form and other personal information collected, obtained or derived by TSA and TA to administer player registration. Each player acknowledges that their personal information will only be used for this purpose and related or similar purposes which can reasonably be expected (including the provision of player and associated services). Each player consents to TSA and TA s use of their personal information in accordance with TA s privacy policy located at http://www.tennis.com.au/privacy. 8. By entering the Tournament each player consents to the ITF, TSA and TA recording and photographing their participation in the Tournament. Each player agrees that any such photographs, electronic images, sound recordings or video footage may be used by the ITF, TSA and TA, perpetually in resources and reports, or promotional, advertising or marketing materials, without any further notice or payment to the player. 9. The Tennis Officials Australia Tournament Referee (the Referee) will act as final authority in relation to all matters arising that require immediate resolution during the Tournament. No protests will be accepted for on-court or result issues. Should a player wish to dispute any other matter relating to the Tournament, including any question arising from the interpretation or construction of these Terms and Conditions, the notice of dispute must be received in writing by the Tournament Committee no later than 5pm on the next business day following the Tournament. The Tournament Committee must adjudicate upon any dispute referred to it for determination within fourteen days of the date of request for such adjudication by any party. 10. Any dispute relating to the Terms and Conditions will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, and each player agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
