CHA opened the scoring on an RBI single by OF Jason Coats, giving the Knights a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. The Knights came back with three more runs in the fourth as IF Dan Black hit a three-run homer, his sixth long ball of the campaign, to give CHA a decisive 4-0 lead. RHP Chris Beck (W, 2-1, 3.90) shut the Bats out over 6.0ip, allowing just 1h and 2bb with 5k. RHP Donovan Hand (L, 0-1, 3.06) started his second game of the season for LOU and allowed 4er, on 5h with 5k in 5.0ip. OF Ryan LaMarre went 2-for-4 with a double in the contest and was the only Bat with multiple hits on the night. Newly acquired OF José Constanza earned his first start, going 0-for-3 with a stolen base. RHP Sam LeCure made his 11 th appearance and recorded 1k he now has at least 1k in 10 of his 11 appearances. LOU is 4-2 when they hold their opponents to four hits or less both losses came in doubleheader games (4/14g2 vs. COL, 4/28g2 vs. IND). BB&T NOT BAT FRIENDLY: With last night s 4-0 loss, LOU is just 1-4 all-time at the Knights new digs since BB&T Ballpark opened at the beginning of last season.
