Get to know INASGOC The Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee 2018 The figuration of INASGOC is based on the Presidential Decree Number 12 Year 2015 Regarding 18th Asian Games 2018 National Organizing Committee Section 5 Article 1 which stating, To support the duty of the 18th Asian Games 2018 (AG) National Organizing Committee to realize the Games, Chairman may form an organizing committee (It is called the INASGOC or the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee). INASGOC implementing 18th Asian Games 2018 Master plan formerly created by the AG National Organizing Committee guided by Mr. Erick Thohir as the Chairman. INASGOC Chairman in carrying his duty is accompanied by 2 (two) Vice-Chairmen, 1 (one) Secretary General and 1 (one) Vice-Secretary General, also 4 (four) Deputies that lead 24 varied Departments. According to the Presidential Decree Number 12 Year 2015 Section 2 Article 2, Chairman of INASGOC accounts the management of the Asian Games to the Chairman of the AG National Organizing Committee. Secretary General of INASGOC leads 6 (six) Coordinators, including Internal Auditor, Procurement, Finance, Budgeting, Legal, Human Resources, and General Affairs. 3 NOC Bulletin #2 December 2016
Deputy 1 INASGOC, Games Operations, leads 7 (seven) Departments, including Planning, Sport, Venues, Athletes Village & Villages Services, Catering, Medical & Doping Control, and Accommodation. Deputy 2 INASGOC, Games Administrations, leads 7 (seven) Departments, including International Relations & Protocol, Accreditation, Promotion, Games Look & Socialization, Ceremony & Events, Marketing & Sales, Ticketing, and Media & Public Relations. Deputy 3 INASGOC, Games Supports, leads 7 (seven) Departments, including Hospitality, Transportation, Broadcast, Government Relations, IT & T, Environment, and Arrival & Departure. Deputy 4 INASGOC, Security, leads 3 (three) Departments, including VVIP Security, General Security, and Traffic Control. Besides, in the effort to well-preparing the implementation of the Asian Games 2 (two) years later, INASGOC has been closely working together with the central governments such as the Ministry of Youth & Sport Affairs, Ministry of Public of Works & Housing, Coordinating Minister of Human Development & Culture, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Tourism, also with the local governments which cities have been appointed to host the Games. To prepare the management of sport competitions in OCA standard, INASGOC continuingly communicates with OCA Coordination Committee, Asia and International Sport Federations, also Indonesia National Sport Federations. INASGOC has also coordinated with many companies both domestic and overseas to cooperate in sponsorship endeavor or suppliers for products and services, hotels, media companies, as well as education institutions to gather thousands of workforce and volunteers. PRESIDENT JOKO WIDODO DIRECT LEADS www.merahputih.com The Indonesian President HE. Mr. Joko Widodo leads the 18th Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) as stated in the Presidential Decree Number 22 Year 2016 dated 13 th May 2016. Jokowi, warm call of the President by Indonesian people, became Chairman of the Steering Committee, accompanied by HE. Mrs. Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Human Development & Culture, as the Vice-Chairman. President Jokowi directly visited some of the Games venues in Jakarta and Palembang to assess the cities readiness to host the Games. In early December 2016, he surveyed the area of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium which is progressing by 11% and is estimated to be ready-to-use by November 2017. The stadium is planned to hold the Opening and Closing Ceremony of the 18 th Asian Games in 18 th August 2018. In late October 2016, President Jokowi held a meeting at the Presidential Office and urged all preparations to be proceeded on time including the infrastructures readiness and the competitiveness of Indonesian athletes. Underlining his seriousness, President Jokowi asked Ministers in charge to submit reports describing the progress in the preparations being made for Asian Games in a scheduled manner. 5 NOC Bulletin #2 December 2016
Further the Presidential Decree also mentioned Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, HE. Mr. Imam Nahrawi as the Responsible of the Games with 4 (four) members accompanying: DKI Jakarta Province Governor, South Sumatera Province Governor, Banten Province Governor, and the West Java Province Governor. Following is the Asian Games National Organizing Committee chaired by Mr. Erick Thohir who is also the current President of the Indonesia Olympic Committee (Komite Olimpiade Indonesia). Earlier in September 2016, the progress report of the Games preparation received positive responses during the OCA Executive Board Meeting in Da Nang, Vietnam. Mr. Erick Thohir, INASGOC President who delivered the presentation also relaying President Jokowi courageous statement that he is confident of Indonesia s capability and readiness to success the organizing of the Games looking at INASGOC operations running on the right path according to the timeline. IMPORTANT UPDATES FROM THE 5TH CC MEETING A. Corrections made following the 68 th OCA Executive Board (EB) Meeting in Danang, Vietnam on 24 th September 2016 decision that Roller Sport should be included in 18 th Asian Games 2018 Sports Program. 9 NOC Bulletin #2 December 2016

So, following the decision of 5 th OCA Coordination Committee Meeting at Hotel Mulia Senayan Jakarta on 14 th December 2016 overall the 18 th Asian Games 2018 Sports Program will be: 32 (thirty two) Olympic Sports (not included Surfing), 6 (six) Non-Olympic Sports, 3 (three) Additional Sports; Bridge, Mechanical Sports (Jetski and Paragliding) and Roller Sport. In total will be 41 (forty one) Sports. C. Test Event 2017 Road to Asian Games will have 10 (ten) sports in the program. INASGOC will invite 10 (ten) to 15 (fifteen) NOCs for each sport to join the Test Event (by invitation event). The 10 (ten) Sports are: 1. Athletics 2. Archery 3. Basketball (5 by 5) 4. Badminton 5.
