Pool depth is 9 feet at the start end and 3.5 feet at the bulkhead (turn end). Blocks are 29.5 high. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with USA Swimming s Rule 104.2.2(c)(4). Colorado timing system utilizing one push button and 2 timers per lane for backup, including 8 and under 25 yard events. Official 2016 Short Course USA Swimming Rules and Wisconsin Swimming Rules shall govern the conduct of this meet. Swimmers do not need to be registered as USA swimmers. Age is as of the day of the meet. Coaches must display their Coaches Card while on deck. In granting this approval it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Schedule: General Warm-up 7:00 8:00 a.m. Failure to follow warm-up guidelines may result in disqualification from the next individual event. Meet starts at 8:15 a.m. The afternoon warm-ups will begin as soon as the morning session has been completed. The start of the afternoon session will be one hour after the start of warm-ups; a fifty-five minute warm-up following by a 10 minutes quiet pool. Must complete five (5) events within an age group with no disqualifications to qualify for High Point Award. No NT (no time) entries are accepted for either individual or relay events in order for us to run the most efficient meet possible. Open swimmers must be age 12 or older. Swimming up age groups for relays will be allowed. We will not accept entries by fax, or mail and no hard copies or disks are required. We will send a team entry report for your review once your team is added to the meet. Swimmers with special needs should be noted on your entry form. Your coach is responsible for notifying the head official during warm-ups of any special needs of your swimmers. Feet first three-point entries from the starting end of the pool during general warm-ups will be enforced for all sanctioned/approved competition in accordance with recent change to Policy 4.5.2(a). Any swimmer entered in the Meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or the swimmer must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Fly over starts will be used to decrease time between heats. If you have any questions concerning fly over starts, contact the Meet Director. Late Entries: Deck entries for individual and relay events will be accepted up to 20 minutes prior to the start of the sessions (both morning and afternoon). Entries will be accepted only for registered swimmers. Only open lanes will be filled no additional heats will be added and lane selection will be at the sole discretion of the Entry Chair. A fee of $6.00 for individual events and $20.00 for relay events must accompany each entry request. Forms will be available in the coach s packets. Final Results: Please note that results posted during the meet are NOT official. The official results will be distributed at the end of the day. All teams will be sent an email copy of final results within two weeks after completion of the meet to the email address from where the entries originated. If meet backup is requested, please contact the Entry Chair to arrange the method of transfer (email preferred or storage media such as a flash drive). Seed Times: Conduct: All entries must have a seed time no NT will be accepted. The software should convert times to yard times. It is the responsibility of the submitting teams/coaches to be sure the entries are submitted correctly and to review the entry confirmation sheets to verify the conversion occurred correctly. Swimming up age groups for relays is allowed. Each team is responsible for the behavior of their swimmers. The Meet Director or Administrative Official may remove any swimmer from competition for disruptive or disorderly behavior. In accordance with the Federal Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 the use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designed areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. Bad Weather: In the case of bad weather, the meet will operate under the Red Cross requirements [i.e. clear the pool at the first sign of lightening or thunder. Resume meet 20 minutes after the last sight of lightening or thunder. If meet is delayed due to bad weather, we will resume the meet with the event that was suspended and continue in the order of events. However, we will not swim later than 6:30 p.m.] Any events not completed will be cancelled. No refunds for events missed due to bad weather. If weather is anticipated in advance, we reserve the right to relocate the meet to the Merrill Middle School s indoor competition pool. Drones: The use of drones during meets (without prior authorization) is prohibited. Concessions: A wide selection of items will be available for purchase. NO CARRY-INS WILL BE ALLOWED.
