LOCATION LOST CREEK AREA MORGAN COUNTY UTAH Local Services are conveniently accessible 20 miles southwest in Morgan, a town of 4,000 people and the county seat of Morgan County, or 25 miles southwest of the ranch in Coalville, a town of 1,500 people and the county seat of Summit County. Park City is 45 miles south. Salt Lake City is 60 miles southwest. Interstate 84 can be accessed near Henefer via a 12 mile drive down Lost Creek. Airport Services are available at the Ogden- Hinckley Airport (KOGD), which is 45 miles west of the ranch, and has jet capable runways up to 8,103 feet and several FBOs. WATER The Paradise Canyon Ranch shares a 2.7 mile border with the Lost Creek Reservoir State Park, which is a 415 acre reservoir that is home to Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Tiger Trout, and Splake, Francis Creek and Trail Creek bisect the Paradise Canyon Ranch near their entry into the reservoir, and hold small native trout and spawners from the reservoir. All of the ranch s main canyons have either small creeks or springs, and numerous stockwatering and wildlife ponds have been created across the ranch. LIVESTOCK GRAZING The ranch is almost entirely perimeter fenced, and also has miles of cross fencing to create several pastures and allow for excellent livestock and grass management The current owner has allowed only limited summer grazing on the ranch of around 50 to 75 cow/calf pairs, in an effort to maximize wildlife feed and habitat. A wildlife biologist recent conducted a visit and survey of the habitat conditions on the Paradise Canyon Ranch, and rated them as being in excellent condition for wildlife purposes, and said additional cattle grazing could be supported.
