PAGE 1 NOVEMBER 7, 2018 SAN JUAN WILDLIFE FEDERATION SERVING THE FOUR CORNERS PO BOX 1411 New Announcements LOST & FOUND All lost and found items not claimed before the 11/20 General Meeting WILL BE AUCTIONED OFF January Elections 27 Days to get your submissions into Bill Standley There are two board member positions available For more information contact Bill at 505-330-4446 All names & why your want to run, need to be submitted by December 3rd Open Positions We are looking for an Executive Officer and an Outdoor Officer contact Patrick Kothe at 505-632-2485 more Information More Notices & Updates on Page 3 2018 SJWF Gun Raffle Winners Louie Lasiter ---------- Smith & Wesson M & P 15-22 Sport 22 Don Higgins ----------- Savage Axis II 65 Creedmor & Weaver 3x9 Scope Mike Hamilton -------- Mossberg 88 Field/Security Combo 12 Gauge Shotgun Congratulations to this year s winners and a big Thank You to all who supported the raffle! 2018 New Mexico State IDPA Championship On Oct 6 The San Juan Defensive Pistol Association hosted the New Mexico State IDPA Championship We had 128 shooters from New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Texas and California; with skills levels ranging from Novice to Master Class The shooters started with a 10 shot warm-up stage followed by 12 fun but challenging stages which included moving targets with two stages shot from in and around a car The top shooters in each Division and Class won nice laser etched trophies According to IDPA rules the prizes are awarded by random drawing so everyone can have some fun This year the prizes consisted of 3 Springfield pistols We had a lot of local shooters who received trophies this year and other notable local shooters Glenn Shelby CDP Division Champion Talon Harvey High Junior & 1 st Place CDP Marksman Hito Becker Revolver Division Champion & 1 st Place Rev Expert Dave McCall 1 st Place CCP Sharp Shooter Mike Harvey 2 nd Place ESP Marksman Mike Freestone 4 th Place SSP Marksman Other notable local shooters were Larry Johnson (3 rd CDP Expert), Randy Watson (4 th ESP Marksman) and Scott Conklin (6 th CDP Sharpshooter) There were also 39 Shooters on the Most Accurate list, meaning they had no hits on Non-Threat targets Making the list were Glenn Shelby (3 rd ), Bill Thompson (6 th ), Talon Harvey (19 th ) and Marla Harvey (28 th ) The good guys are safe around these shooters! When you see these people congratulate them and their success A great big Attaboy and Attagirl to all the Safety Officers and Staff that helped put the match together Without the volunteers we wouldn t have a match Thank you all!!!
