NCC NCC cadets of our school attended a special training program from 4th Nov. to 13th Nov. 2016 held at Colaba, 2. CCA Various co-curricular activities were conducted throughout the academic session 2016-2017. While some competitions were individual, some were group activities, like group song, dance, orchestra, drama, rangoli, flower decoration. Recitation, clay modeling, fancy dress, story telling, handwriting, elocution, extempore, art etc. were as the individual activities. The main objective of these activities is the overall development of the students and to prepare them for their future endeavour. All the students were encouraged to take part in one activity or the other according to their interest and caliber. Prize distribution was held in the month of December, 2016 when winners of different activities were given the prizes. 1. All India Inter AECS Cultural Meet 2016: First position AECS-2, Tarapur bagged overall the First Position in Junior category and claimed the rolling trophy in All India Inter AECS Cultural Meet 2016, held at AECS Indore from 9th to 11 th Nov. 2016. 3. ARTS Students participated in All India Art Competition for AEE Art Exhibition 2016-17. 9. Zonal Level Debate Competition in English-2016: First Position The team of AECS-2 i.e. Master Anurag Dhepe of 10 th Std and Miss Tania Ambrose of 9th std, brought laurel to the school by bagging the first position inzonal Level Debate Competition in English-2016 conducted on 27-08-16. 3. Inter AECS National Level English Debate Competition, 2016: Second Position AECS-2 Tarapurians, Mst. Anurag Dhepe, Std. 10th and Kum.Tania Ambrose, Std. 9th brought another accolade for Excellency in debating skills as they bagged the second position in Junior group in All India Inter AECS English Debate Competition held on 24th of November, 2016 at 4. A zonal level Science Quiz in Hindi 2016: Second Position: Master Anurag Singh and Shashwat Gupta of Class X made AECS-2 Tarapur proud by emerging as Second Prize Winners of the zonal level Science Quiz in Hindi 2016. 5. All India Inter AECS Exhibition, 2016: Second Position The school secured the Second Position in All India Inter AECS Exhibition held at Jadugorah, Jharkhand from 9th 11th August 2016. a. Individual Achievements of students 1. Master Anurag Dhepe, std X, bagged the First Prize in 5th S.R.P. Memorial Inter School English ElocutionCompetition 2016, held on 2nd Oct. at Dahanu, Mumbai and First Prize in Inter school Elocution competition organized by Nuclear Power Grid Corporation of India, on 24 Oct. 2016. 2. Miss Saumya A. Kumar, 9th std. secured the Second place in Hindi Elocution Completion held on 2nd Oct. 2016 in Homi Bhabha TAPS, school Tarapur. 3. Junior Science and Mathematics Olympiad-2016, held at AECS-3, Mumbai from 17th to 22nd Oct. 2016. 4. Master Anurag Singh of Std X bagged Second Position in Inter School Science Exhibition Competition held on 3rd of Dec. 2016 in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Boisar, b. External Examination and achievements 5. Miss Saumya Kumar class VIII, won the First Prize in the National level Inter AECS Science Quiz conducted at AECS- Rawatbhatta 4. Maharashtra Talent Search Examination: (M T S E): Maharashtra Talent Search Examination was held in April, 2016. 28 students appeared in the same. Performance was excellent as Shashwat Gupta, and Anurag Singh of Std. 9th got 20th and 27th rank respectively in the State. Trupti Raut (10th) and Anmol Mishra (9th) received the Taluka prize. Durva Chavan (8th) received special prize. AnikaTibrewala (10th) got the Consolation Prize. All the other participants were entitled to a certificate. 2. International Olympiad of English Language (IOEL): 57 Tarapurians of AECS-2 participated in IOEL (level-1) 13 students qualified for the medals. They are: Gold Medalists 5, Silver Medalists 4, and Bronze Medalists 4. 3. International Olympiad of Science (IOS): 178 students appeared for the first level IOS. We received 8 Gold Medals, 8 Silver Medals and 8 Bronze Medals. 12 students of ours appeared for the second level International Olympiad of Science. All of them were entitled to a certificate. 4. International Olympiad of Mathematics (IOM): 185 students appeared for IOM and 24 students qualified themselves as medalists. They are: 9 Gold medalists, 8 Silver Medalists, and 7 Bronze Medalists. 4
