Starting Monday, May 13-Wednesday, May 15 you can start bringing them in to fill your grade level collection jug. Half of the collected money will go to Riley Children s Hospital. The grade that collects the most pennies will be announced as the winner of the Penny Challenge at the conclusion of Star Olympics. Graduation Ceremony is at 9:10 am on Thursday, May 23 BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT...already?? Due to the STAR OLYMPICS, being held on Friday, May 17, the cafeteria will be serving a sack lunch with a PB&J, carrot sticks, raisins, fresh fruit, cookie, and a milk. We will NOT be serving pizza as the menu originally stated. Mark your calendar...back TO SCHOOL NIGHT is July 30 from 6:00-7:00 PM. Come meet your teacher, check out your classroom, and drop off your backpack and supplies so you won t have to carry them on the bus the first day of school! Wonder what Mrs. Dunn plans on doing with her muchdeserved get away?? hmmmm KEEP COLLECTING THOSE POP TABS OVER THE SUMMER! WE ARE STILL COLLECTING THEM IN THE BIN BY THE OFFICE. THEY ADD UP QUICKLY AND IT IS EASY MONEY FOR MAPLE GROVE! Thanks to everyone who participated in the Label Collection/Educational Rebate Programs. With your support, Maple Grove earned over $8,000 in cash and merchandise this year. The spirit day for the classrooms that collected over 500 labels in the January/February challenge will be Thursday, May 16. Mrs. Serpico s class chose a theme of STARS for this spirit day. As a reminder, qualifying classrooms were - Mrs. Lux, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Helderman, Mrs. DeHaven, Mrs. Hobson, Mrs. Talbott, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Barnes, Miss Raftery, Mrs. Snodgrass, Mr. Hobson, Mrs. McDowell, Mrs. Serpico, Mrs. Schmidt, and Mrs. Prather. From the nurse... Hello parents! Can you believe it is nearing the end of this school year already? A lot of you have sent in medicines, supplies, or clothing with your children to be kept in the clinic. Just a reminder that medicines or supplies of any kind that you sent into the clinic must be picked up by an adult. You may stop in to pick them up between 8:30am-4:00pm until May 23, 2013. Anything left in the clinic over the summer break will be destroyed. New medicines with new notes must be sent in next school year. Questions? Please feel free to call me at 881-0561, ext. 8064.
