Lincolnshire Schools Football Association www.lsfa.org.uk English Schools FA Inter County Trophy Round 1 Lincolnshire Schools Football Association Under 14 s v Norfolk Schools Football Association Under 14 s Wednesday 9th November 2011 Kick Off 7 30pm Sleaford Town FC Illustration by Gustavo Alves, Age 9, Isaac Newton Primary School, Grantham

Good evening to everyone at tonight s game and on behalf of the Lincolnshire Schools FA I would like to offer a warm welcome to players, officials and supporters from Norfolk Schools FA. I am sure everyone involved in tonight s game will be eagerly awaiting this, the first round of the Under 14 Inter County Trophy. I would like to thank Sleaford Sports Association for hosting this evening s fixture. We are truly grateful for their hospitality and use of one of the county s best facilities. Our thanks must also go to the Lincolnshire Football Association Match Officials who will be in charge of the fixture this evening. We welcome tonight the Heads of Youth from our local professional clubs and several school teachers who I am sure will be delighted to see their players in action at county level - a great achievement. Who knows, one day one of these players could end up in Lincolnshire s best XI! (See back page) Once again there has been fierce competition from the County s Under 14 players to be selected. This started with one hundred and twenty boys back in July and at one point involved camping in tents, would you believe! I hope that all the players in our squad appreciate how well they have done to make it this far and hope that this will be the first of many matches they have representing their County. The Associations thanks must go to the management team of Graham Almond and Matthew Evans, they are both passionate about County Schools Football and return for their second year in charge looking to better last years achievements. I know that these two coaches are as excited about this fixture as any of the players will be! If any local business is interested in supporting the Lincolnshire Schools Football Association to provide representative football or County Cup competitions then please do not hesitate to contact me. Finally, I hope we are all entertained by this evening s fixture and the winners go on and progress to the final. Enjoy the game Andy Allen Secretary Lincolnshire Schools FA From the Secretary With thanks to the:

Football Development Opening today s fixture are the CLUB Soccer Stars from Carre s Grammar School s community programme. Following the FA s youth review, football is changing and for this group of 6 year olds, 4 v 4 is their chosen path. They play central venue fixtures aiming to increase playing time, decision making and touches of the ball. The benefits of the programme are so evident that local clubs are bringing their teams along to share this introduction to the game. More info: www.carres.lincs.sch.uk/football Why 4v4?
