2017-2018 Cheer Program Info Guide Who are we and what is our mission? Spirit Central South is an All-Star cheer and gymnastic training program committed to helping athletes reach his or her greatest potential. Our hard working, dedicated and professional staff views each child and their learning needs as unique. We pride ourselves on being family oriented, supportive and understanding of your athlete s needs. This is demonstrated by our willingness to allow our athletes to participate in school and community activities/sports outside of All-Star Cheer. Additionally, we strongly encourage giving back to our community (through food drives, Toys for Tots, etc); as well as team building activities/events outside of the gym. Spirit Central South stays ahead of current trends, mandates and initiatives in the cheer industry by attending forums and trainings which help us to stay up-to-date with changes in the all-star cheer world and maintain a highly competitive environment that keeps us well positioned for success. We hire quality staff, as well as consultants, provide education and training, and screen our employees to ensure your child is in safe hands. Our mission is to work diligently with your athlete promoting overall physical, spiritual and emotional growth. Spirit Central South uses several training modules for the betterment of the overall athlete experience. We use classroom time to review performance and score sheets; and then with athlete input, we develop new strategies to improve their performance. Then we go back out to the floor to put our Theory into Practice. Testimonials and feedback show that parents enjoy our open door policy, and being included in some decision making. Customers report that this makes them feel like they truly matter. We work endlessly to ensure the best outcomes and experiences for our valued customers. Staffing At Spirit Central South we recognize and utilize the many different strengths and talents of our staff members. We know that past experiences and training make our collaborative approach a hit when it comes to teaching and retaining cheer and gymnastic skills. Our seasoned staff works side by side with our athletes. As a team, our staff is able to work closely to reach the goals of our athletes and teams; because we are a small gym, we are able to bond with your athlete and understand them. In addition, during the year, we bring in specialized consultants, to assist in ensuring that our routines are competitive and real crowd pleasers.

All Star Teams Spirit Central South understands the commitment involved when you are a member of an All Star cheer team. We also know that this is not a one size fits all type of commitment. With this we have provided our customers with choices when it comes to committing to what is the most natural fit for athletes and their families. Below is a description of fees you are required to pay in addition to your monthly tuition. Registration fee- The cost to enroll as an official member of Spirit Central South. This fee is required at the start of each new season (May). This fee will only be prorated after March 15th. Registration fees affiliate you as a member of the gym; with this you are privy to cost savings on clinics, camps, gym rental and parties. Tuition- This is the cost of professional instruction provided by Integrity Cheer Corp DBA Spirit Central South. It also covers the athlete s time in the building. Tuition can be paid in many ways: Monthly Automatic/Monthly Manually/Annually. We are a very small program and rely on your timeliness to pay our program related expenses. A late charge of $25 will be assessed if payments are not made timely. A five day grace period will be granted. Please feel free to speak to management to discuss extenuating circumstances. Choreography and Music Creation Fee- In effort to stay competitive, we hire the industry's best when it comes to custom routine creation and music production. This is so important as it is the routine that we compete with for the entire season. Those we partner with offer the highest level of quality and service. All of our cheer teams have choreography, some is done with our in house staff, and others teams have hired professionals from the outside. Choreography camp is mandatory. Choreography is typically done over an entire weekend during the summer or early fall. Participation is mandatory. We will be utilizing the entire weekend, clear your schedules. If a cheerleader is not able to attend they are still obligated to pay and secure a stand in from another team. This way a part is built into the routine for them despite being absent. Practice Wear/Sneakers- We require all of our cheerleaders to purchase and wear clothing that is flexible, soft and safe to wear to practice. Spirit Central South offers clothing that is appropriate to our sport. We also believe in uniformity. During our team practices we ask that all cheerleaders wear their designated practice clothes. We do have special days (i.e. red, white & blue day) that the athletes are able to select their practice outfit from their own personal wardrobe providing it meets the criteria of safe, soft and flexible. Sneakers- We are in a contract and a family plan with one of the largest vendors in the cheer industry. Our contract with this vendor states that all of our athletes must wear Varsity shoes and uniforms while performing at all competitions and events. We will be penalized if we variate from this stipulation. Competition, Admin and Travel Fees- The fees are designated to the cost of attending competitions. In addition there are nominal fees built in for coach s travel and $50 admin fee for administrative duties that are required to prep and register for events. If a team qualifies for an additional travel event, extra fees will be assessed.

Uniform- We purchase our uniforms from Varsity Fashions. We like to look good on stage, and choose from the newest/hottest trends in our industry. Uniforms are worn at all competitions and specified gym events. It is the responsibility of the athlete to keep track of and take the best care of their uniform; they are costly and take several weeks to produce/reproduce. The program does not keep extra ones in stock. Bow- A hair accessory used over the ponytail of the cheerleader. Warm up suits- Required for Full Commitment, but available for all.
