Dear Boxing Coaches and Officials: The Sugar Bert Boxing National Championship Series is Presented by Sugar Bert Boxing Promotions. Sugar Bert Boxing Promotions is hosting the Sugar Bert Boxing Title Belt National Championships, is scheduled for Friday, November 18 Monday, November 21, 2016. We invite you, your boxer(s), and your club to compete in this tournament. This tournament event is sanctioned by USA Boxing. This is a 4 day tournament for ALL boxers of ALL weight divisions. Boxers whom competed at a qualifier event and have won will be placed in a Winners bracket. Those winners will receive a custom belt. All other boxers will be placed in a separate bracket. Those winners will receive a belt, similar to belts provided at the qualifiers. All unopposed winners will receive a plaque. Female boxers of all ages and weight divisions, along with Masters will be allowed matched bouts. International boxers are welcomed to compete at this event. Coaches and athletes lodging at the host hotel will be entered into a drawing to win attraction ticket throughout the event. We have enclosed important information about the tournament as well as the registration form. Please duplicate as needed. No nicknames, phrases, gladiator/thai types of trunks, fringes, sequins, or flaps are permitted on boxer s uniform. No tape of any kind allowed on the boxer s uniform. Mouthpiece All boxers are required to wear an individually fitted mouthpiece. No shades of red (e.g. orange, pink) mouthpiece. Headgear AIBA/USA Boxing approved competitive headgear are mandatory for all contestants.
Hand wraps must consist of the use of bandages (gauze or valepeau). Boxers must be clean shaven before the weigh-ins; no facial hair. Boxers who report to weigh-ins with facial hair will be denied the opportunity to weigh in. Facial hair for Master boxers; moustaches and neatly trimmed beards of less than two (2) inches in length are acceptable. Boxers must wear a hair cap or cut hair in such a manner as not to interfere with the vision of the boxer. Boxers WHO DO NOT report to the weigh-ins groomed as required by AIBA/USA Boxing competition rules will be denied permission to weigh-in.
