Rapid 6.39 final 1/16! DEER CREEK broke well, chased the lone speed winner on the backside (-2 lengths), raced -2 lengths near the far turn (21.79 opening quarter), -3 lengths entering the stretch, followed the winner s path down the lane (clearly 2 nd best +6 ½ lengths clear) over the faster-than-normal racing surface (+1 second fast). HE RETURNS QUICKLY... JANS IVA broke well, chased the dueling pair on the backside (-1 length), raced -1 length near the far turn (22.31 opening quarter), tired understandably at midstretch vs. WARREN S BEAUTIFUL. FEATURE MALINCHE hesitated, broke off balance, bumped shortly after the start, losing -1 length, caught in tight quarters (losing path) near the gap (brutal trip) in the Los Alamitos 2 Million Futurity trials vs. eventual Juvenile Invitational winner MARGARINTAS N CORONAS (19.84 winner). Prior effort (19.81) she swerved out, bumped shortly after the start, drifted in early, right there past the gap, gamely kept to her task to the end (9.60 final 1/8) in the Golden State Million Futurity trials. 3- back (15.39) she broke off balance, swerved in at the start, lugged in to the gap, raced -1 length past the gap, leveled too late (9.66 final 1/8). He returns to face non-winners and looms a solid win player! CANUCATCHER STAR (15.55) fractious in gate, broke off balance, drifted in (2-lanes) shortly after the start, quick in stride, right there past the gap, kept to her task to the end (actually just missed 2 nd ) thru the 9.66 final 1/8 vs. I GOT WALKIN. He is racing in good form and that will give him a strong look in this event. SUZURAN DANCER broke well, chased the 3-horse speed duel on the backside (-8 lengths), raced -10 lengths near the far turn (22.12 opening quarter), -10 lengths mid-final turn, 4-wide entering the stretch, traveled evenly down the lane (6.60 final 1/16). Prior effort he broke well, chased the lone speed winner on the backside (-2 lengths), raced -1 length near the far turn (22.15 opening quarter), followed the winner s path, finished out clearly 2 nd best.
