Maritime Education Programme Recreational Boating Courses Summer 2018-2019

Coastguard Northern Region Maritime School Recreational Boating Courses Welcome to Coastguard Northern Region s Education Programme During my 10 years as a volunteer aboard a Coastguard Rescue Vessel, I ve seen countless situations that could have been avoided. The vast majority of the people involved were sensible and prudent people. Unfortunately, they just didn t know what they didn t know. If they had taken the small amount of time to find out by doing a course, they could have joined our graduates who relish the confidence and security provided by the knowledge they ve gained. Even those with years of boating experience are more often than not seriously surprised at what there is left to learn when they attend a course. To ensure your experience with us is as rewarding as possible, all our tutors are professional educators with years of practical local experience. Our courses cover all craft from small dinghies through to ocean going yachts. You can go for a formal qualification or it can be as casual as a few hours with an Instructor aboard your own boat your choice. Whether you are brand new to boating, upgrading your vessel or looking to extend your horizons, I d encourage you to take a look and see what there is to offer here for either yourself or your regular crew. If you re still unsure, just give us a call we d be happy to help!
