President s Update Welcme t the 2012-2013 Cast Sccer League Seasn begins n September 8. The Cast Sccer League seasn is upn us and NOCRA s primary cncern is t assign referees in gd physical cnditin and in gd standing. All referees are bligated t be in gd physical cnditin, eat nutritius fds, and rest accrdingly prir t their scheduled games. We have been mentring and bserving referees ver the last 4 weeks in preparatin fr league play. We will use yur USSF Grade Level, ur bservatins and ratings t cmplete yur rating fr the start f this seasn. We want t make sure that each referee is assigned t the prper games. NOCRA s new lk has prepared a Referee Yuth/Adult Mentr Prgram fr referees that are a grade 8, 7, r 6. The Referee Yuth/Adult Mentr Prgram is gd fr any USSF sccer referee t fficiate all yuth and adult levels. Be well runded t understand what wrks fr a player(s) frm ages 8 t 75 years f age. The new Rating & Observatin Prgram (ROP) is designed t prperly assign a rating t referees t insure they are ding the right level games. The cmplete prcess is an pen bk and can be reviewed at anytime. Observatins are nt an assessment ; that is the Assessr & Instructr s jb. Our gal is t have everyne bserved many times thrughut the seasn. Frtunately, the NOCRA bank accunt usually has enugh in it s we can give yu yur checks befre the turnament rganizer sends payment t NOCRA. Yu can pick up yur check at the next NOCRA meeting n Tuesday, September 4. If yu can't attend the meeting, I will mail yu yur check, but make sure yur current address is in Arbiter. NOCRA dues are 8% f yur game fees, up t a maximum f $75 per year. Dues are deducted frm yur checks. A statement will accmpany yur check that shws all game fees and dues. We have new leadership nw (I'm still the past president, and n the Bard), and I exhrt all members t supprt NOCRA and gear up fr an adventurus new seasn f fun and games as we, NOCRA, have never seen.
