Proudly Presents The NORTH ISLAND STOCKCAR CHAMPIONSHIP Friday 9 th & Saturday 10th February 2018 Conditions of Entry: The event will be run according to the Speedway New Zealand Rule Book. All drivers must hold current SNZ Inc Licence s and all vehicles must comply with the Speedway New Zealand Rule Book and supplementary regulations. The Promoter reserves the right to issue temporary numbers to avoid duplication. Competitors will be advised of any such change to their racing number. It is a condition of entry that competing vehicles arrive at vehicle checking displaying the number allocated to them and that the numbers comply with the rules of Speedway New Zealand Inc. (no cardboard / paper numbers) Noise levels will be adhered to as per the current Speedway New Zealand Rule Book. A maximum noise level of 95dba will be strictly enforced. Technical Inspections: Please pay attention to rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5. In the event that you have forwarded an entry form and you discover that you cannot attend, you must notify the promoter of your inability to honour this contract IN ADVANCE. The WSSCC would advise all Competitors to enter early, even if you are not sure if you will make it. We prefer you withdraw your entry than try to enter late. (Refer below regarding late entries.) Huntly PlaceMakers Speedway has Dorian Electronic Lap scoring and Race Receivers in place and will be using them to Lap score and communicate with all cars in the championship. It is compulsory for all cars to arrive at vehicle checking with Dorian Transmitters and Race Receivers in place and working. The Promotion reserves the right to alter the racing format and/or closing date, depending upon entries received, if deemed necessary. All successful entrants will receive confirmation via e-mail or phone confirming race numbers. PROPOSED FORMAT FRIDAY, 9th February 2018 VEHICLE CHECKING: 1pm to 4pm This will be held at the track. DRIVERS BRIEFING: 5.30pm This will be in the clubrooms. All drivers must attend, or you will not race. RACING STARTS AT: 7.00pm NB: Number of Groups will be determined by the number of entries received. QUALIFYING Qualifying to find the top 26 Cars who will contest the North Island Stockcar Title will involve competitors being split into 2, 3 or 4 Groups, depending on entries received. Each Group will have 3 qualifying Heats of 12 laps with points awarded from first to last. 2 Groups Top 10 per group qualify directly to the Championship Final 1x 12 Lap Repercharge to find the next top 6 cars to go directly to the Championship Final. 3 Groups Top 8 per group qualify directly to the Championship Final 4 Groups Top 6 per group qualify directly to the Championship Final If 3 or 4 Groups the next Top 52 cars will be split into 2 Repercharge races of 12 laps with the WINNER of each Repercharge going directly to the Championship Final. In the event of more than 104 cars entered in 4 groups a 5 th group can be run BUT a changed Format will be required at the Clubs discretion After the Top 26 have been found to compete in championship Final. The next top 26 cars will make up the Tier 2 Finals and the remaining cars will make up the Tier 3 Finals. Repercharge races will be first up on Finals Night at the club s discretion. North Island Stock Car Championship Final Position 1 to 26-3 Heats x 15 Laps, accumulated points. Highest points overall will determine 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd. Trophies and Prize money based on overall points. Tier 2 Positions 27 to 52 3 Heats x 15 Laps, accumulated points. Trophies and Prize money based on overall points. Tier 3 Event Positions 53 to 78 3 Heats x 12 Laps, accumulated points. Split Pool prize money pay out at the club`s discretion. Consolation Races These will be at the Clubs Discretion to race or Not. AWARD CEREMONY: Trophies for the first three (3) places for the North Island Stockcar Championship will be presented after the final results are confirmed.
