PASADENA RODEO PARADE PARTICIPANT FOR 2018 Application & Rules Dear Parade Applicant, YES, it is that time again! Please join us in the 2018 PASADENA RODEO PARADE. We are busy planning for this exciting community event and we need your help again this year to get everyone involved. Dust off that western hat, polish those boots and join us for an epic Parade and Rodeo this year. We would be honored if you would PARTICIPATE in the 2018 Pasadena Livestock Show & RODEO PARADE being held on Saturday, September 8, 2018. PARTICIPATION IS FREE!!! Join us in celebrating this 69 th Anniversary of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo. The excitement begins with the P a s a d e n a f i r e t r u c k s, f o l l o w e d b y a c o l o r g u a r d, a n d t h e n t h e PLSR PARADE Grand Marshal, which is followed by dignitaries, beauty pageant winners, bands, drill teams, limos, motorcycles, clowns, entertainers, beautiful horses, wagons, and many more exciting entries celebrating our western heritage and surrounding businesses. Each year, we attract a large number of spectators, including Special Guests and even Senior Citizens groups. The parade participation was great last year and the weather held up for us, however, we are forecasting a larger crowd of spectators for 2018 and participants. The Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo PARADE will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 8, 2018. The one mile route on Spencer Highway will run from Spencer and Shaver and end on Dabney at Burke at the Pasadena Veteran s Memorial Stadium parking lot. LINE UP begins at 7:00 am at the Pasadena Indoor Flea Market parking lot at 2222 Shaver and Spencer Hwy. The Theme for this year s 2018 PARADE is: Theme is coming soon Five (5) trophies will be awarded to the participant winners for the following categories: BILLY GRAHAM RODEO SPIRIT AWARD, GRAND PRIZE AWARD, PATRIOTIC AWARD, PRESIDENT S AWARD and BEST COMMITTEE AWARD. Please participate so that you may be able to win one of the 5 beautiful trophies. These trophies will be presented to the winners during the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo 2018 Season. Even if you think you can but don t have all the signatures, we would like to obtain an application as early as possible. Participants can sign the day of the Parade once they arrive. Every entry will be allowed to participate with current coggins checked for horses and a Parade Application turned in. Entries received after the DEADLINE date will be placed at the end of the lineup possibly without an Entry # and may not be announced. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Please make a note that the PASADENA LIVESTOCK SHOW & RODEO is scheduled for: September 21st through September 29, 2018. Come join in the fun! 1

As the Pasadena Rodeo PARADE is growing larger each year, we are making every effort to make your experience and participation in the parade enjoyable and hassle free. In order to accomplish this, please follow these instructions and keep this letter for reference. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED by EMAIL or USPS mail. Every entry will be allowed to participate, entries received after the DEADLINE date will be placed at the end of the lineup without an Entry # and call card for the announcer. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR ENTRIES TO THE PASADENA RODEO OFFICE AS THIS WILL DELAY YOUR ASSIGNMENT IN THE PARADE. STAGING AREA: Located at 2222 Spencer Highway and South Shaver, Pasadena Indoor Flea Market parking lot CHECK IN: LINE UP: PARKING: DISPERSAL: Under Tent at Pasadena Indoor Flea Market (Front Parking lot facing Spencer Hwy) Beginning at 7:00 a.m. THE PARADE WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 10:00 a.m. Due to limited parking, please make arrangements to come as a group or be dropped off. Pasadena Veteran s Memorial Stadium parking lot, 2902 Dabney, off of Burke Road DESIGNATE ONE (1) person from your group to sign in and obtain your entry number. In your application, please list how many vehicles, trailers, and floats that may be with your group. You will be given instructions as to where to place your entry number at sign in. HORSES ALL HORSES MUST HAVE A C U R R E N T COGGINS CERTIFICATE. This certificate must be shown to a PARADE Volunteer before unloading. A Designated PARADE Volunteer will check that a Coggins certificate is current. All horses MUST be at least 2 years of age. Only (1) one rider per horse will be allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS! MUSIC Please keep music low in staging area. TRASH Please keep your staging area clean and dispose of all trash properly in the trash receptacles provided. Your participation and rodeo spirit is greatly appreciated. With your participation, we can make this year s Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade a memorable occasion for the citizens (young and old) of Pasadena, Deer Park, South Houston, La Porte, League City, Friendswood, Clear Lake, and their surrounding areas. ALL participants MUST SIGN the following release before the Rodeo Parade. 2018 PASADENA RODEO PARADE PARTICIPANT RELEASE FORM Parade participants agree to use and occupy the entry at their own risk and hereby release the Pasadena Rodeo Parade Committee, the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo, City of Pasadena, and their agents, officers, employees, dignitaries and invitees from all claims for any damage, injury to persons or property to the full extent permitted by law occurring on or about the entry, including; but not limited to damages resulting from the act of other participants, theft, vandalism, fire and other casualty damages arising. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Pasadena Rodeo Parade Committee, Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo offices, the City of Pasadena, their agents, officers, dignitaries, employees, and invitees from all claims, leases, costs, damages, or expenses resulting or arising from all injuries to or death of any person(s) or damage to any property caused by an act, omission or neglect of participant or participants agents, employees, invitees, contractors, or guests which occurs on or about the entry.
