Treasurer's Report: Ron Rymarz, our Treasurer, reported that as of this date our checking account shows a balance of $7112.92. Old Business: Web Site: Joyce Clements reports that she is starting to receive emails that are being sent to the web site. Information about our Albuquerque Museum Car Show, our Swap Meet, and the All Clubs' Picnic have been posted on the web site. We are still working on making improvements and trying to post photos on the web site. We also had another webmaster look at our web site, and he said that our design is basically okay and just needs to be fine-tuned to do what we need it to do. Michael Maestas reported that our web site guru is working on trying to alleviate our problems. New Business: Joyce Clements reports that the Albuquerque Museum Car Show Committee has met and set up the different classes for the car show. Promotional posters have been printed (and distributed at this meeting), and the trophies and award ribbons have been ordered. We are going to have our next meeting on May 13, 2009 to stuff bags for the car show. Paul McLaughlin is in charge of scheduling arrival times for the show and a number of club representatives on hand signed up their respective clubs. Other Business: Bob Agnew reports that his "Spring Thaw" open house at Worldwide Automotive raised $3120.00 for Cuidando Los Ninos. At this point the meeting was brought to a close. Paul G. McLaughlin Secretary MUSEUM CAR SHOW Please contact Paul McLaughlin for a time for your club to enter the Museum Show. Paul can be reached at pmacautoart@msn.com or sign up at the meeting. We would like a wide variety of vehicles. Model T Ford is the feature car. A list of volunteers to help at entrances, registration, parking, and ballot counting is enclosed. E-mail Joyce at oldcarnut1932@earthlink.net if you haven t volunteered yet. Thank you..

NEW MEXICO COUNCIL OF CAR CLUBS EVENTS Please note the dates for 2009 Car Council Events in the listing below and on the back cover. These events are planned for all our member clubs. As you plan your calendars for 2009, keep them in mind. They are pre-planned events for clubs participation. Participants have a lot of fun at the events, and it provides all with an opportunity to meet people from all areas of automotive interest. The Council officers and board members encourage all clubs to send a representative to meetings. The people who show up are the ones who make the choices for how the events are run. Legislation that affects our hobby is also always on the horizon. Come to the meetings and make your voices heard. It is up to us all to keep the hobby alive and well. Joyce Old Car Club of Albuquerque will sponsor the 2009 All Clubs Picnic. NEW MEXICO COUNCIL NEW MEXICO COUNCIL OF CAR CLUBS ANNUAL OF CAR CLUBS ANNUAL MUSEUM CAR SHOW AT ALL CLUBS PICNIC WEB SITE Everyone who receives this news letter electronically or by regular mail should look at the web site: www.nmcarcouncil.org. If you do not see your club listed there, it is because no one in the club has returned the form sent out in December requesting updated information. You may also add something about your club (cars represented, history, membership requirements, meeting time and place, etc.) to the listing. Your amateur web mistress can't put up the information if she doesn't have it. Thank you to all who have sent back the information. Check out your listing to see if it is correct and/or needs additional information. Sometimes, mistakes are made. - Joyce THANK YOU The 3 rd Annual Spring Cruise and Schmoose Committee thanks everyone for a successful event. Over 140 vehicles attended! We had a grand warm and sunny day, good company, good food, and lots of beautiful rides. See you next year. Thanks and God Bless.
