sanctioned events or pay $20 to have their USA Wrestling card placed on a certified roster and be eligible for the IKWF State Series or any other sanctioned event. Each registration must be accompanied by proof of age. Competitors age verification is recorded by the IKWF. Unverified wrestlers will not be listed on an official IKWF roster. A separate unverified roster will be created with the wrestler s name. Subsequent registrations need not be accompanied by further age verification unless records are lost or damaged. Registration for USA Wrestling cards must be postmarked two weeks in advance to be eligible to compete. Cards are $45 per wrestler. USAW Athlete memberships may be purchased at IKWF events for $50 $55. The wrestler must have a copy of their birth certificate to purchase the card at events. Head coaches and tournament directors are responsible to make sure every wrestler has obtained a USA Wrestling membership card before competing in any sanctioned event. In order for a wrestler to be eligible for the IKWF State Series, his/her card must be purchased no later than twenty-one days prior to the regional competition, no exceptions. 33) Proposal approved 11-1 (FO voted no). By Mark Bullington, second by Ben Montez Amend 19.4.2 (changes in bold font): If a team has a sectional qualifier who does not show up for sectional competition and has not notified the Sectional Director prior to weigh-ins Thursday before the sectional tournament, the team will be assessed a $10 per no show fee. This is in addition to the sectional entry fee. This penalty fee will be added to the team s sectional fee on the day of the sectional tournament. This no-show fee is paid to the sectional tournament host. 34) Proposal approved 12-0. Example Only: Tournament A has 8 wrestlers and tournament B only has 2. Instead of putting A7 in the B3 spot and A8 in the B4 spot, A4 should become B3, A5 becomes A4, A6 becomes B4, A7 becomes A5, and A8 becomes B5. By rotating the qualifiers this way no wild cards pass up the true qualifiers and there is no need to use the next weight class rotation. 35) Proposal approved 12-0. Amend 22.12.7.3 (changes in bold font): In all regional and sectional tournament, championship and third place bouts shall be conducted simultaneously in the same round, or third place bouts may be wrestled immediately preceding the championship bouts. Officials assigned to the tournament may elect to work a system with an assistant referee for the first and/or third place bouts. With two divisions wrestling in regional and sectional tournaments, it is recommended that at least two mats be used for the final rounds. 36) Proposal approved 12-0. Remove 23.3. The evaluation will be returned to the official at the end of the tournament. This is a selfimprovement evaluation. It is recommended that you get the best evaluator possible. The official is then required to send a post card after each evaluation to the IKWF office. If they do not declare an IKWF club prior to this date, they will be listed as unattached for the remainder of the IKWF competition season and will not be able to compete in any IKWF State Series sanctioned event. The IKWF will notify all unattached wrestlers prior to the November date to remind them to attach themselves to an IKWF club. 56) Proposal approved 12-0.
