General Board Meeting Minutes 23 April 2017 Meeting called to order at 11 am. Trustees in attendance: Barry Vogt, David Herwig, Eileen Conway, Joe Finlaw, Hugh DelBorello March Executive and General Board Meeting Minutes March 2017 General Board Meeting minutes motion to approve by Conway, seconded by DelBorello; all in favor. Treasurer s Report March payables $43,420 spent from the Operating fund including $6,600 final payment for the Gazebo, $1,980 for tennis poles, and $2,306 for lake treatment. YTD balances: o Operating $413,449 o R&R $397,504 o YTD Total $810,953 Motion to approve by Herwig, seconded by Conway; all in favor. Barry Vogt Lifeguards BC will have lifeguard coverage at the pool on weekends throughout the summer. Island rehabilitation project Gazebo construction is underway, and over 100 commemorative brick orders have been received. Trash BCCA continues to have issues with folks improperly discarding non household trash in the trash dumpster. Household garbage can be disposed in the dumpster; all recyclables need to be placed in the appropriate recycling bin; non garbage trash should be placed in the dumpsters behind the boatyard. As violators are identified, warnings and fines will continue to be sent out. Security services will commence the weekend of May 12 (Fri/Sat), May 19 (Fri/Sat), with full time security starting May 26. Eileen Conway Nothing at this time. David Herwig David reviewed revisions to the various BCCA Rules and Regulations documents, which were reorganized for clarity. Joe Finlaw Jenga and Connect4 games to be installed/placed in the Gaga portion of the tennis recreation area. Commemorative brick sales are ongoing, with the initial orders due 24 April. Hugh DelBorello Reminder that OC beach tags can be obtained on line or in OC for the summer season. Mike Pangburn New water handles have been installed in 80+ water hydrants to date. Note that these are quarterturn handles. Pickleball area the additional pickleball area has been rehabilitated and paved; resurfacing and line painting to be scheduled. The basketball sun shelter is nearly complete; roofing materials have been ordered, and completion of the project is targeted for Memorial Day. Resident Issues Unit 279 (Ferrell) inquired about placing a bench or picnic table outside the Game Room to allow people to use WIFI service while sitting outside. Maintenance to follow up. Unit 141 (Jeffers) identified that the remote call in number at the incoming gate is not working; maintenance to follow up. Unit 122 (Marano) inquired whether the pool umbrellas were going to be repaired; Mike stated repairs will be forthcoming; there was discussion of the sunshade concept being investigated by the E Board.
