Introduction The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia () in collaboration with the INSARAG Secretariat, will be hosting the 2018 INSARAG Earthquake Response Exercise (ERE) from 5 to 7 December 2018 in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia. A. Registration Participants are requested to submit the Registration Form along with a copy of international passport via e-mail mesinterdep@gmail.com and copy furnished the FCSS-INSARAG Secretariat to insarag@un.org for confirmation of attendance not later than 1 Nov 2018 (Thursday). Participants registering as international Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) are kindly requested to copy the WHO EMT Secretariat on the registration form (emteams@who.int). Participants are also required to do online registration by logging into the Virtual OSOCC (https://vosocc.unocha.org/reg/5615_aeme2018.html). Participants of the SIMEX are advised to arrive on 4 Dec 2018. The appointed Exercise Controllers (EXCON) are expected to arrive on 2 Dec 2018 for the preparation of SIMEX. B. Armenian Visa The participants are responsible for obtaining their own visas. will provide an official letter of invitation for participants that need to obtain visa for the Republic of Armenia. Arrival and Departure 1. Airport Participants will arrive at and depart from: "Zvartnots» International Airport (EVN) Yerevan, Armenia. 2. Transportation All in-land transportation needs for official programs including airport transfers for arrival and departure will be provided by the host country. For EXCONs, airport transfer for pick-up and drop off will only be provided on Dec 2 and 8 respectively. For participants, airport transfer for pick-up and drop off will only be provided on Dec 4 and 8 respectively. Participants should cover their own transportation expenses for flights scheduled before and/or after the specified dates. 2
Delegates are required to provide their airline, flight number, date and time of arrival on the Registration Form (Annex-B). Please advise the secretariat and host organization (MES of RA) of any flight changes in order to effectively facilitate arrival arrangements. Upon your arrival at the airport, look for a representative from holding the signage of the INSARAG ERE 2018 at the international arrival hall. Buses from hotel to the exercise venues and vice versa will be provided for all the delegates. D. Exercise Venue The INSARAG 2018 Earthquake Response Exercise (ERE) will be held in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan, Armenia (Address: 109/8 A. Mikoyan str., Davitashen 4th block, 0054, Yerevan, Armenia) and at Zvartnots International Airport. E. Accommodation All participants are responsible for all costs incurred during their stay unless otherwise stated, including expenses for: in-room internet use, room service, mini bar, in-room phone calls, laundry, and other incidental charges. Dress Code The dress code for the Official dinner (5 Dec 2018) is smart casual. H. General Information 1. Health Requirement If you do not feel well upon arrival, please declare your health status in order to seek immediate medical treatment. Please fill up the health declaration form provided at the points of disembarkment. It is highly recommended that participants have their own travel and medical insurance and also advisable to bring their own medication for treatment. A clinic with medical personnel will also be set up at the Exercise venue to provide consultation and first aid. 4
The representatives of are available for you in case medical aid is needed during your stay in Armenia. 2. Climate The weather in Armenia is approximately from +2 C to -12 C. Delegates are encouraged to wear suitable clothing for the weather. 3.
