GENERAL RULES 1. All Greek Week events are alcohol free. Any contestant, chapter member, or chapter guest found with alcohol or displaying intoxication will disqualify their chapter and team from Greek Week. In addition, the offending person and chapter will be reported to the Office for Student Advocacy and Accountability and their respective Council judiciary board. 2. Unsportsmanlike conduct or harassment of Order of Omega members, Office for Student Engagement staff, referees or judges, or another group or team will not be tolerated. If this occurs, the offending team will lose sportsmanship points and/or be disqualified from Greek Week and be reported to the Office for Student Advocacy and Accountability. 3. The Office for Student Engagement reserves the right to disqualify any individual, group of individuals, chapters, or entire teams at any time prior to, during, or after Greek Week for unsportsmanlike conduct or behavior. 4. Only active members and new members are allowed to participate in Greek Week. The roster used will be the official roster on file with the Office for Student Engagement. 5. Participants for events must check-in no later than 15 minutes before the start of the event. Failure to do so will disqualify the unchecked members from that event. 6. Scoring will be as follows for competition events except for Step show: a. 1 st place 5 points b. 2 nd place 3 points c. 3 rd place 1 point 7. Scoring will be as follows for participation events: a. 75% - 100% attendance 5 points b. 50% - 75% attendance 3 points c. 25% - 50% attendance 1 point 8. Scoring will be as follows for Scavenger Hunt points: a. Teams can earn 1 point per day pending correct completion of the activity. 9. Scoring for sportsmanship points will be as follows: a. Each team will start the week with a total of 5 points. b. The Office for Student Engagement staff and/or Order of Omega members will remove 1 point per violation. c. Chapter presidents of any team that loses a sportsmanship point will receive written notification (See Appendix D) within one day. 10. External judges will be used for the Volleyball, Sheet Sign, Dodgeball, and Stepshow. Any attempt to influence judges in any way will result in an automatic disqualification from Greek Week. 12. All team members, whether actively participating or not, must complete an online waiver. 3

Before Greek Week Pre-Greek Week Social Meet and Greet Before the week begins on the date above each team must have a social event including members from each organization to receive 2 points. The time and location of the social is at the team s discretion and must be registered through the University. To receive points the team must post a picture on social media tagging @southeasternfsl with the hashtag #slugreekweek2018. All Week Scavenger Hunt 1. There will be a wooden letter hidden on campus from Sunday to Thursday that will spell out the word GREEK. Sunday will be G ; Monday will be R and so on. 2. The letters will be hidden by the Order of Omega president some time before the day starts. 3. The Fraternity and Sorority Life Twitter Account will tweet a clue at 9:00 am each day from @southeasternfsl 4. To receive credit for finding the letter, you must take the letter to the office of student engagement. The team to complete this task shall receive the 2 points for that day. Points for the Scavenger Hunt are as follows: 1 st Place- 2 points Tie splits points Sunday, March 18, 2018 Volleyball Tournament 1PM/Greek Village The kickoff event for Greek Week will be a volleyball tournament in Greek Village. The Volleyball Tournament will begin at 1:00 PM. Cooking is not mandatory but highly encouraged to share throughout the Greek Village and to build community. Rules: 1. Each team will be able to enter two teams per Greek Week team into the single elimination volleyball tournament. 2. Teams must have 8 members, with no more than 6 players playing at a time. The other 2 members must be one male and one female who will be listed on the roster but will not participate unless a main team member is injured or unable to continue. Substitute players will only replace a person of the same gender. The games will be scored to 25 points and only one game will be played per match. Team rosters must be submitted to the Office for Student Engagement by the set deadline. Teams will not be able to play unless rosters are submitted on time. 3. Each team must be co-ed and must have at least 2 females and 2 males participating. 4. During the volleyball games, if the volleyball hits the light pole and goes on the other team s side of the net, the ball is still in play. 5. Per University Housing regulations, no pets are allowed in Greek Village. 4

6. The Department of Recreation Sports and Wellness will randomly draw teams before the event to determine byes and starting positions. Points for the Volleyball Tournament are as follows: 1 st Place- 5 points 2 nd Place-3 points 3 rd Place- 1 point Hotdog Eating Contest 4PM/Greek Village 1. All Hotdogs will be store bought and as similar in size as possible. 2. Each team will provide one contestant. 3. Each contestant will have a neutral judge in front of them to monitor the contest. 4. Each contestant will be given a total of 20 Hotdogs. 5. The contestant has four minutes to eat as many hotdogs as they can. The winner will be the person who eats the most hotdogs during the time limit. 6. Hotdogs can only be eaten one at a time and the contestants must show their judge the whole hotdog is gone before moving on to the next. 7. A hotdog is defined as the bun and meat. 8. All contestants are responsible for peeling off the Hotdog wrapper themselves. 9. A bottle of water will be provided to the contestant during the event. 10. Any visible signs of sickness will cause disqualification. 11. Please take into consideration any allergies when choosing your contestant. Points for the Hotdog Eating Contest are as follows: 1 st Place- 5 points 2 nd Place-3 points 3 rd Place- 1 point Monday, March 19, 2018 Greek Week Sheet Sign Contest 10AM/Office for Student Engagement Rules: 1. Sheet signs will be due on Thursday, March 15 th by 5:00PM in the Office for Student Engagement. 2. All banners must be in good taste. Vulgarity, profanity, nudity, or bashing other groups will NOT be tolerated. Teams that fail to comply with this rule will be disqualified from Greek Week. 3. Your sheet size should be a Standard Flat Full (54" x 75") cloth sheet. 4. Your sheet sign must say Greek Week 2018. 5. Your sheet sign must include your Greek Week God/Goddess 6. Your sheet sign must include all members of your team (chapter name or letters must be somewhere on the banner). Banners will be judged on the following criteria (See Appendix D): 1. Adheres to the rules stated above 2. Correlation to the Greek Week theme 5

3. Originality/Creativity 4. Overall Impression/Neatness Points for the Sheet Sign contest are as follows: 1 st Place- 5 points 2 nd Place-3 points 3 rd Place- 1 point Greek Week Give Back Day 4:00PM/TBD Rules: 1. Order of Omega will be hosting a Give Back day all day at TBD to raise proceeds for the Southeastern Louisiana University Food Pantry. 2. In order for Order of Omega to receive credit patrons must inform their servers they are with Order of Omega or Greek Life. 3. Chapters are also encouraged to invite the campus community to participate in the event. 4. The event will run from 4:00PM until close however, 6:30PM shall be the informal event time. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 Dodgeball Tournament 6:00PM/Pennington Center 1. Games will start at the scheduled time. There will be a five minute grace period if one team member is on time and checked in prior to game time. 2. Games will be played on a basketball court by teams of six players each. Six balls will be used for the game. Two teams from each team will play in a single elimination tournament. There must be three men and three women on each team. 3. Each team must provide one male and female alternate who will not play at any time unless a team member is injured and unable to continue the tournament. 4. The format will be best two (2) out of three (3) games. 5. If a player is hit with a ball in the air, before the ball bounces, the player will be out. 6. If a player catches a ball thrown by a player of the opposing team, the thrower will be out. 7. If the ball is deflected by either body or another ball and is caught by the same person then the thrower will be out. 8. Once "out," the player must stand along the side of the court until the end of the game. There are no situations where an out player can re-enter the game. 9. The team with the last player standing will be declared the winner. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 All Greek Picture 5:15PM/Strawberry Stadium 1. All Greeks should arrive wearing letters by no later than 5:15PM. 2. Chapters are allowed to bring only one of the following items to represent their organizations; wooden letters, flag, or banner. a. Any organization that has more than one item will be removed from the picture. 3. Interference with any picture will result in the loss of one sportsmanship point. 6

4. Do not bring bags, backpacks, or other items since they will interfere with the picture. 5. Participants must be inside the cones that are set up by Student Publications. If anyone is standing outside that zone they will be cut out of the picture. 6. Once the large picture is taken everyone should move to the home side of the stands to wait for their scheduled time for pictures. Those not needing to take additional pictures must leave immediately. 7. Following the large picture all participants must exit to the home side of the stadium. 8. Chapters will then be called down to take individual organization pictures at the center of the field 9. After taking your respective chapter picture organizations must return to the stands before the start of the Greek Games. Greek Games /Strawberry Stadium Three Legged Race 1. One male and one female representatives from each team 2. Each pair must tie one leg to the other by the ankle 3. If one of the partner is picked up that pair is disqualified 4. The race shall be 26.2 yards a. 1 st Place- 5 points b. 2 nd Place-3 points c. 3 rd Place- 1 point Achilles Heel 1. Two males and two females representatives from each team 2. Each player will be given two balloon to be tied around their ankles. 3. All participants will start inside set boundaries that will get smaller as the game goes on. 4. If you step out of bounds one of your balloons will be popped. 5. After both of your balloons are popped you are eliminated. 6. The object of the game is to pop the opposing teams balloons and the third to last team to get eliminated will receive 1 point, second to last 3 points and the last team standing wins 5 points. Human Hungry Hungry Hippos 1. A player is pushed by their team to the center of the room and attempts to grab (or place under a basket) as many balloons or balls as possible and return them to his or her team s corner. 2. The scooter can NEVER STOP. As soon as the player reaches the center, he or she must be immediately pulled back. 3. You can either send the same player back to the center, or have the whole team rotate through being hippos. 4. Only balls that are completely in the team s corner count as points. Balls will quickly become scattered around the room, and it is not enough to have balls close to a corner. If a ball is close, the team can send the hippo towards that ball instead of to the center. 5. The game ends when all of the balls are gone, or when the timer runs out. 6. The team with the most points will get 1st place, second post points 2nd place and third 7

most points 3rd place 1 st Place- 5 points 2 nd Place-3 points 3 rd Place- 1 point Overall Points for the Greek Games are as follows: 1 st Place- 5 points 2 nd Place-3 points 3 rd Place- 1 point Thursday, March 22, 2018 Step Show/Awards 7PM/University Center Step Show will be judged on the following criteria: 1. Style/Appearance 2. Choreography 3. Stepping 4. Overall Performance 5. Creativity 6. Theme Step Show Rules are as follows: 1. The NPHC chapter on each Greek Week team shall be in charge of the coordination of their team s Step show. 2. Each team will have a maximum of 20 members participating in the step show and each team must have at least one representative from each organization on the team performing in the step show. 3. Maximum step routine length may not exceed ten (10) minutes, Time begins when the first sound (vocal or deliberate impact) is made by music or members, and ends when the last member exits the stage. 10 overall points per every 30 seconds will be deducted if time runs over. 4. Each routine may consist of any combination of skits and steps. However, each routine must have stepping without music for at least 50% of the routine time. 10 overall points per every 30 seconds will be deducted if music goes over the 50% requirement. 5. Each team will be responsible for playing their group s music. Music and team roster must be turned into the Office for Student Engagement by the deadline listed earlier. Any group that does not turn in their music by the designated date and time will automatically be disqualified from the Step Show. 6. There will be no profanity, explicit language, or verbal attacks on any other groups. 7. Order of teams will be chosen randomly before step show begins. 8. Members participating in Step Show must see Order of Omega table prior to getting on stage to verify team roster. I.D. not required. 9. Stage is 32' wide and 24' deep. 10. Teams are not allowed to use glitter or any other costume decorations that leave traces on the stage. Teams that leave anything on the stage will be disqualified. 11. Teams may not use props, backdrops, or any other items outside of costumes worn on the body. Failure to follow this rule will result in disqualification. 12. Participants are not allowed to exit the stage until the end of the performance/stroll-off. 8

Once a participant steps on the stage they cannot leave. 13. Teams may not use unaffiliated NPHC team steps. 14. No team can require a member to practice more than 20 total hours for the performance. If teams fail to meet this requirement they will be disqualified. Tiebreaker: 1. If there is a tie in the overall scores for the Stepshow the following tiebreaker will be in effect. 2. All teams should prepare a step that has not been used in any aspect of the performance that does not exceed two minutes in case a tiebreaker is needed. 3. The judges will again score the steps and determine the place winner. Points for the Stepshow contest are as follows: 1 st Place- 5 points 2 nd Place-3 points 3 rd Place- 1 point Greek Week Tiebreaker In the event there is a tie for overall Greek Week first place only then the following tiebreaker will be used: 1. Two randomly selected team members from those present at the stepshow will be selected from each team that is currently tied. 2. Each team will be asked Greek trivia questions about all of the Greek organizations on Southeastern s campus 3. Each correct answer will be worth one point. 4.
