Boo!!! We Need You! BALBOA MAGNET SCHOOL You are invited to help Annual Candy Split Steps for the Candy Split 1. Collect Candy on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31 st (Go to a carnival or trick or treating, etc.) 2. Divide your candy into two piles. (Who could possibly eat all of the candy you got?!) 3. Choose a pile for yourself. 4. Bring the other pile to school on November 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd so that it can be given to Frontline Foundation, a Northridge group that serves meals to hungry people living on the streets of Skid Row, in downtown Los Angeles. The Halloween candy is given along with the meals served. Parents: Here s your chance to get rid of all that candy in the house! In an ongoing effort to be a contributor in the community, our school has become an active supporter of Frontline Foundation. Frontline was founded in December 1987 by Ray Castellani in an effort to bring love, through the vehicle of food, to the hungry of Skid Row, in downtown Los Angeles. Since it began, out of its Northridge kitchen, Frontline and its all volunteer corp. have prepared and served over 1 million meals freely and unconditionally to people who have no other resource for food. Thank You
