Certified copies of the ID Documents of all the players must be available in the event of any queries. 8. OFFICIAL UMPIRES Affiliates to nominate umpires from their own qualified umpires (Provincial upwards) for consideration by the SATTB. The SATTB will then appoint the number required for the tournament and advise Affiliates accordingly. The SATTB will provide financial assistance to those umpires selected for duty, accommodation and meals for the duration of the championships. Affiliates must provide transport for their umpires. All umpires will be assessed during the championship. The host province must supply the majority of Umpires.
INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 1. All entries must be done through the Affiliates or Associate Member s Secretaries. Only International Players may enter directly to the SATTB. 2. All International entries to be forwarded to the S.A.T.T.B. for approval a nd clearance. 3. In terms of the Regulations NO LATE ENTRIES or substitutions (singles events) will be accepted. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, Late Entries may be accepted (at the sole discretion of the Referee) with a fine of 10% of the entry fee. Substitutions will only be allowed in the Doubles Events and only then with valid reasons. 4. Players entering the Doubles events without stating a partner s name will be drawn a partner by the Organizers from other players entering similarly where possible. 5. In the Veterans Singles events, each Competitor may only compete in his/her own age category plus the next category lower. Maximum: 2 Single Events. 6. All Events are subject to sufficient entries being received. 7. The Technical Committee shall compile the seeding for the Championships taking into account the following order: Seeds 1 to 8 - The ITTF World Ranking list, ATTF Ranking list, National Ranking and Associations Ranking lists. Seeds 9 to 16 will be drawn from a list of players ranked by their Associations. Priority will be determined by seeding players based on the performance of their Regional Teams at the previous Inter-Regional Championships. 8. All Singles matches shall be played in group system with 3 to 4 players in a group in the 1st Stage. The top two players in each group shall qualify for the knock-out stage. The subsequent rounds shall be played on a knock-out basis, except, where, in exceptional cases such as insufficient entries, an event may be played on a round robin bases. 9. All Doubles matches to be played on a knock-out basis, except, where, in exceptional cases such as insufficient entries, an event may be played on a round robin bases. 10. All matches in both Singles and Doubles shall be the best of five (5) games Umpires will be assigned to matches by the Referee. Any umpire/player refusing to do so will be disqualified from the remainder of the Championships and reported to his/her Association and to the Tournament Disciplinary Committee.

12. There are NO Plate events as all singles events will use a group system in the 1st Stage. 13. TEAM EVENTS All Rules under General shall apply. No player shall play in more than ONE TEAM. This includes the Players with a Disability. Umpiring will be done by the official umpires appointed by the SATTB. 14. The format for the Team Events shall be as follows: 14.1 Veterans Men 40+ A team shall consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players plus a Team Manager. Best of 5 matches: 5 singles: A vs Y; B vs X; C vs Z; A vs X; B vs Y with the participation of 3 Men Players or 3 Women Players in each match (Swaythling Format). 14.2 Veterans 50+, 60+, Women 35+, 40+ & 50+, Para Seniors & Para Juniors A team shall consist of a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4 players plus a Team Manager. Best out of 5 matches. Four singles matches and one doubles match: A vs X, B vs Y, a doubles, A vs Y, B vs X. (Corbillon Cup Format) 14.3 Para Senior team events: Women s Team TT1 TT5 (combined) Women s Team TT6 - TT10 (combined) Men s Team TT1 - TT5 (combined) Men s Team TT6 - TT10 (combined) 14.4 Para Junior team events: Open Girls Team TT1 TT5 (class & age combined) Open Girls Team TT6 TT10 (class & age combined) Open Boys Team TT1 TT5 (class & age combined) Open Boys Team TT6 TT10 (class & age combined) No Team event per age group. 15. An Affiliate may enter more than one (1) team in the Inter-Regional Tournament if they have three (3) players or more in the having finished in the last 16 of the previous National Championships. At least two (2) of these players must be part of the team entered. 16. All Team events will only be staged if 4 or more entries are received.
17. All Affiliates and Associate Members must register their Playing Colours with the Board. Alternative playing colours must also be registered in the case of two Affiliates with the same colour T-shirt participating in the team events. Please state the playing colours on the Team Entry Form. 18. Any player not wearing the correct colours of his/her Affiliate during any Inter-Regional match will automatically forfeit the particular games or match in which he/she has contravened this rule. Open Team Championships (B Section) this competition will NOT be staged. SATTB shall not as a result of the cancellation of this tournament for any reason whatsoever and whether or not it was caused by any negligent action or omission on the part of the SATTB or any host affiliate or association be liable for any loss, including consequential loss, or damages incurred by any affiliate, association, team, individual or any person whatsoever nor shall it be liable to refund any payment made by such party. THIS ENTRY FORM, IN ITS TOTALITY, CONSTITUTES THE COMPLETE AND FINAL DOCUMENT AND NO FURTHER REPRESENTATION, BY WHATEVER MEANS WHATSOEVER, SHALL BE ACCEPTED OR ENTERED INTO.
