GIANT KILLERS Colorado scored 17 runs vs. San Francisco Thursday... it was the second-most runs scored in a road game in franchise history they scored 19 at Houston on Sept. 25, 2011 it was the 20th time in franchise history they have scored 17 or more runs and the fourth time vs. the Giants (last: April 11, 2012). He is the first National League player to hit two home runs in his MLB debut, and he s the first player to hit two homers in his MLB debut on Opening Day. SNAKE CHARMER Trevor Story has 15 RBI against the Diamondbacks this season, which is the most ever for a rookie in a single season against Arizona. The 15 RBI currently rank tied for 10th all-time for Rockies players against the D-backs in a single season (most: Carlos Gonzalez, 20 RBI in 2010), and tied for 25th among all players (most: Adrian Gonzalez, 25 in 2014). CARGO Carlos Gonzalez has hit safely in 26 of his first 31 games (.315; 41-for-130) he and Nolan Arenado rank tied for fifth and tied for seventh respectively in the NL with 41 and 40 hits. APRIL SHOWERS In April, Nolan Arenado became the first Rockie since Todd Helton (May, 2000) to have as many as 10 home runs, 10 walks and 10 or fewer strikeouts in a calendar month it was just the 20th time since 2000 in the Majors overall and just the fifth time since 2010. ROLLIN WITH NOLAN Nolan Arenado is tied with Seattle s Robinson Cano for the Major-League lead with 12 homers his 29 RBI are tied for third in the Majors, second in the NL he is first in the NL and tied for third in the Majors with 27 runs. Acquired: Waivers, Chicago-NL, Sept. 27, 2014 DON T RUSIN 29-year-old left-hander makes his seventh appearance, third start, of the season tonight vs. Arizona it will be his third consecutive start. Claimed off waivers from the Chicago Cubs on Sept. 27, 2014. Selected in the fourth round out of the University of Kentucky in 2009 by the Cubs also selected after his junior year in 08 by the Oakland Athletics in the 23rd round. After beginning his Major League career with 20 starts from his Aug. 21, 2012 debut through 2013, pitched in relief for the Cubs in 2014. Lost his debut, 5-2, at Milwaukee on Aug. 21, 2012 earned his first Major League win, 7-4, Sept. 14, 2012 vs. Pittsburgh.
