Reports President s Report A. Secretary s Minutes of the December, 2009, Meeting - Women s Meeting date should be changed to September 16 th at 7:00PM, not 15 th at 7:00PM - Signature should be Stephanie Lauren, Acting Secretary Motion to Accept by Bob Brown Secretary Minutes are accepted B. Treasurer s Report - We are within budget and where we need to be
- Make sure you sign-in at these meetings; $200 fine for missing a meeting - Heard from two associations to amend midget tournament price; they are losing money. We spoke as an Executive Board to get rid of $225 fee. Still losing money at that rate. - Dwane Staples stated that we should have the tournament set the price and then come back to us. Kate believes that to be unfair states we need a solution to be fair. - David Maxfield suggests we pick a facility that needs to fill ice times. - Dwane Staples states that we shouldn t allow associations to lose money - Tournament fees are due by February 1 st. Registrar s Report: Deb Powell - State Tournaments need to be sanctioned. - You can find Tournament Applications with your registrar - Check payable to USA Hockey; mailed to me - Roster Amendments: received a couple after December 31 deadline. Tier i-ii players ineligible to play. If you send, it will be denied. - Coaching rosters can be amended - Coaches who did their CEP updates it worked well. - Credential books: I haven t figured my schedule out yet; there s a lot of hockey going on that weekend. I might have to have them mailed to me, and then I ll mail them back. Motion made to approve Registrar s Report by Bob Brown Registrar s Report has been accepted F. Chief Referee s Report: Dave Maxfield - Topic this month: Student Coaches. Ages 13-17. They must be registered with USA Hockey. They cannot be Head or Assistants. They are counted as the four. They must wear a helmet on the bench. See pg 137 of the Annual Guide. Must be with a patched coach as well as one age level down. For instance, a 16 year old cannot do a Midget game.) They must register online and have proof with them. - If you have a scheduler who is not a referee, you must have them sign up as an affiliate - Blue Pucks. You must use them. It s a rule. The whole issue is liability. - All seminars are complete. We might have one in February/March.

COACHING DIRECTOR: Larry Rocha - 151 Level II - 158 Level III - 4 waivers - 24 temporary cards - Student Coaches forms & mentors - Officials: received an email from a coach on dismissing coaches. Read Larry s reply. - December 31 st deadline for coaches has come and gone. Sorry I can t help you. - How can you be sure if your coaches are patched at the right level? Have a list of names and check them online. - Festival 12, 13, 14. Tell them they really have to try. We could tell a player was skilled, but he didn t impress us. One group had 18 goalies. - Bill Antonucci commented on coaching for Festival teams. Non parent. We received quite a few requests. If someone in your organization is interested, send Bill email. - Q: Time Commitment for coaching a festival team? Friday Sunday at tournament. 15 s and younger receive a practice. Please go back and tell your schedulers to go in and look at that. - Still having parents call me. I will not go in and post scores. Home teams go in and post. - Patches come at the end of the season, not mid-year.
Q: If we have a game that is not posted, do we contact the home team? A: Yes. Pay attention to that. Paul Comeau discussed cancellation vs. deleted. Tell your people to click delete. III. New Business A. Temporary By-laws from Paul Comeau Current Wording 2.C. There will be one (1) Level II classification in each Division. The first place and second place teams in Tier II NHAHA State Championships for each Division shall be sent to Tier II Regionals. Permanent Change: April, 200When there is one entry in Tier II Regional, the winner of the Tier II NHAHA State Playoffs will be the entry into the Tier II Regional. (Amended 13 May, 2006) Proposed Wording 2.C. There will be one (1) Level II classification in each division. If a Sectional Tournament is being held for the Tier II division, the second place team in the Tier II NHAHA State Championship shall be sent.
