ALUMNI Owen Keighley Now playing regularly for BBFC Reserves and is studying Sports Journalism at University I had a great two years with the Academy, I was given the opportunity to play in America, at various semi-professional grounds and coached by professional footballers through the link the Academy has with the PFA. I was helped by the coaches to achieve a D*D*D* grade, which has helped me progress to University to study Sports Journalism. I ve seen many players on the Academy course improve and go on to represent Bamber Bridge, Lancashire Schools and England Schools, as well as trials at Blackburn Rovers, Barnsley and Burnley FC. Overall, my time at College was a great success and one I thoroughly enjoyed. The programme helps you to progress as a player and academically. Dean Ing Now playing regularly for BBFC 1st Team and completing a BTEC qualification. The Bamber Bridge Football Club Academy provides various opportunities for players to learn and experience a professional set up practically and academically. The Academy has been instrumental in opening up chances to progress into higher levels of football including county honours, international visits, regular reserve team football and first team football in the Evo-Stik League. It offers plenty of experience that nowhere else nearby can offer; it s definitely something I am proud to be associated with. Rory Judd Now playing regularly for BBFC Reserves and runs his own Rehabilitation clinic I joined BBFC Academy in 2013 because of the outstanding facilities, high quality football coaches and friendly staff. My time at Preston s College has allowed me to further my education in Sport to become a Sports Rehabilitator. The staff supported me through my studies to enable me to gain Distinction in every subject, also supporting me in progressing with my playing and refereeing. This has led me to gain an unconditional offer from the University of Bolton. Now at University, I attend College on a weekly basis to aid the Academy as a Sports Rehabilitator with pre-gaming massaging, rehabilitation, stretching, first aid, pitch-side injuries and advice. Thanks to the staff at Preston s College Football Academy, I am now a qualified masseuse and have passed all my exams to further on to my second year.
