The house and Entertainment Committees are jammin this year. Watch for some new menu items, special events and some unique fundraisers to help update the kitchen. I am looking forward to a great summer here at Maumelle Country! We are booking for wedding receptions and have several dates still available, if you know someone who s engaged and is looking for a venue to have their reception, please have them call me (766-1706 cell#) and I will take care of their every need. Here is a letter from the mother of the bride who just recently had their wedding AND reception here: Jeff, My husband and I want you to now how much we appreciate the courteous treatment we recently received while renting the clubhouse for our daughter s wedding and reception. The staff and you were so gracious to meet our every need, and we found the food and drinks provided during the reception were outstanding. The reception area and wedding room were clean and ready for our decorating which made the whole event really fun for our family and friends. The Maumelle Country is definitely a bargain for anyone needing to host a large party or event. Thanks again for everything, and I am including a picture of the bride and groom and some wildlife encountered along the path where they were taking pictures. (The photo was of the bride and groom and CHRIS ALBRIGHT with his dog) Lol! Daly and Ann Greiman Everyone had a great time at the Easter Brunch and Easter Egg hunt and I want to thank everyone who attended and helped make it the success it was! See ya at the club! Jeff

Join us for a weekend of serious golf and serious fun! Go to www.maumellecc.com/golf.asp for Registration Information. T U R F TA L K I once again would like to thank the MGA for sponsoring the projects on Nine and Ten. The drainage is complete and working great on 10! We have laid the sod and installed the Turf Protector on the entrance/exit on 9 fairway. This product will allow the turf to grow through the mesh and then will distribute the weight of carts to protect the turf from wear damage and compaction. Although I have never used this product I have confidence that it will work. The only draw back I see is playability. We will not be able to play off of the mesh, it will be permanently marked GUR. The course is coming through spring looking pretty good. Now we are moving into tournament season, and mowing season. This means we are busy! It is a great time of year. During the spring rain showers and thunderstorms are fairly common. Sometimes after these rains we have to ask the membership to play Cart Path Only, when this is the case please remain on the pavement. Driving in the rough does just as much or more damage as driving in the fairways. So please remember to stay Cart Path Only when we post the signs. Please remember to check my blog site for course updates! www.mccturfcare.blogspot.com Thank you and have a great round! Jason Baker Golf Course Superintendent
