British Riding Club Competition Rockingham International Horse Trials CLASS 1: 70cms CLASS 2: 80cms CLASS 3: 90cms CLASS 4: 1m AWARDS: Rosettes to 10 th place in each class. Team Rosettes to 6 th Place and Sashes to the overall winning team. Prizes to the top three teams: 1 st Prize 100, 2 nd Prize 50 & 3 rd Prize 28 This is a team competition for British Riding Club Members. The competition will run under British Riding Club Show Jumping Rules 2018. Teams can consist of three or four members. One rider per class. Each class will be single phase over a course of show jumps. The second section of the course will be timed and will be 5cms higher than the class height (ie: 75cms, 85cms, 95cms and 105cms max) except the Joker or final fence, which will be 5cms-10cms above the class height (ie: 80cm, 90cm, 1m & 1.10m). The final fence will be a choice between a Joker fence and a final show jumping fence. The regular final fence will incur standard show jumping penalties. However, if the Joker is jumped clear, 5 seconds will be deducted from the riders time score, but the Joker will incur increased penalties. In the event of equality of jumping faults the team with the lowest team time score over the best three rounds will win. In the event of a team time score tie, the lowest time score for the 1m class will be taken. If the drop score is the 1m round, the third rider s time score will be used.
Entries: The Entry fee is 76 per team. This includes a 4 levy per team towards paramedic cover. Entry fee includes entry for lorries/trailers plus a rider pass for each team member plus one additional pass for the accompanying Team Manager. Additional occupants will be charged at the gate price. Tickets can be purchased online in advance from www.rockinghamcastlehorsetrials.com No accompanying vehicles are allowed in the Lorry/Trailer Park. Entries close Friday 27 th April 2018 at 12 noon. Entries will be limited and will be on a first come first served basis. A waitlist will be in operation. Riding Clubs may enter a maximum of two teams. Riding Clubs can indicate on the Entry Form if they would like to enter more teams, if space/time permits. Riders and horses/ponies need to be named on the Entry Form. Riders and horses/ponies can be substituted on the Declaration Forms but Riders and Horses/Ponies must comply with BRC Rules. Two copies of the Declaration Form must be submitted on the day of competition to the Declaration Steward at least one hour before the team is due to jump. Please have the Declaration Forms completed before you arrive. Withdrawals by email only (horsetrials@rockinghamcastle.com) must be made by Friday 4 th May 2018 at 12 noon otherwise the team entry fee will be forfeited. Start times and running order will be published on the Riding Club page of the Rockingham International Horse Trials website www.rockinghamcastlehorsetrials.com from 6pm on Tuesday 15th May 2018. Terms and Conditions: 1. Teams to consist of 3 or 4 current Riding Club members with a maximum of two junior members per team. Junior members must be clearly shown on the Entry Form. 2. Riding Club Membership Numbers must be completed on the Entry & Declaration Forms 3. In the team, Rider one to jump Class 1 (70cms), Rider two to jump Class 2 (80cms), Rider three to jump Class 3 (90cms) and Rider four to jump Class 4 (1m). 4. If the team consists of three members only, there must be a rider competing in different height classes. 5. A combination of Horse and Rider can only compete once. The rider can compete a second time in another team on a different horse. Horses may only compete once. 6. Classes to be drawn order but local clubs to go first. 7. Individual Rosettes will be awarded at the end of each class on the podium by the Bar. Team rosettes and prizes and overall winning team sashes will be awarded following Class 4 prize giving. 8. Protests or objections must be made by the Team Manager to the Secretary, not later than 30 minutes after the happening or 15 minutes after the scores have been published. Objections/protests must be accompanied by a 25 fee. 9. Riders cannot compete below a height that they are qualified to do see BRC rules. All horses and ponies must be over four years of age and current vaccinations up to date. Passports should be made available if requested; we reserve the right to carry out spot checks of passports on the day.
11. The Judge s decision is final. The Judge reserves the right to disqualify any rider at any stage of the competition for dangerous riding, inappropriate behaviour, misuse of whip or spurs, ill treatment of the horse or if in their opinion the horse is lame, sick or exhausted. 12. The Organisers of the Rockingham International Horse Trials reserve the right to make any changes and/or amendments to the competition and/or rules. 13. Paramedics and a Vet will be in attendance. Other Notices Estate Rules: Rockingham Castle Estate is a heritage site, please respect this. All dogs must be kept on leads and under control. Please bag and bin dog waste. No horses/ponies may be left outside lorries/trailers unattended. No hay nets may be tied to the outside lorries/trailers. All droppings must be removed from the lorry park before departure. When mounted, all competitors must use the designated Horse Walks; failure to do so may result in elimination. Please take your rubbish home. Access please allow plenty of time to arrive as a one way system to the site will be in operation. No accompanying cars allowed in Lorry Park, please follow signs for the Visitor Car Park.
