Saturday 22 nd July- Sunday 3 rd September 2017 Severn Valley Enchanted Wood Self-Led trail Discover whether elves, gnomes, pixies and fairies live in the woods at the country park. As you follow the trail map, look for all the clues and answer the questions to win a small prize (lolly or similar). Trail maps 2 each. Available from the Severn Valley Country Park, Visitor Centre, Alveley, Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV15 6NG each day between 11am-4pm. Wednesday 26 th July 2017 Severn Valley Safari Join our team for a safari adventure at Severn Valley Country Park. Make your own paper binoculars to help you spot animals, big and small, around the park. Have fun making an elephant headdress before joining us on a mini beast hunt. Booking essential. Thursday 27 th July 2017 1.30pm-3.30pm Join our rangers and local experts from Geologists in the Geopark and try to find your own carboniferous fossil! This family friendly 2 hour session starts at the visitor centre with a brief introduction to the fascinating geology of the park and what you might expect to find during the fossil hunt. The experts from Geologists in the Geopark will be on hand to share their knowledge as you dig in to an exposed area of coal spoil to see what you can discover. At the end of the session, return to the Severn Valley Country Park Visitor Centre to examine your finds under a microscope. The fossils can be found on the surface or just underneath it so please bring a small trowel and a plastic tub with you to aid your fossil hunting. Wednesday 2 nd August 2017 Severn Valley T shirt Designers 10.30am-12pm & 1.30pm-3pm Get creative in this fun craft session. We ll provide the t-shirts, textile pens, textile paint fabric glue and help let your imagination run wild! Design your own unique t-shirt to take home and impress all your family and friends! Friday 11 th August 2017 Rain or Shine Theatre Company present Twelfth Night Have you ever found yourself in a strange place, surrounded by strange people, taking extraordinary measures to find your way? That s the situation Viola finds herself in when, shipwrecked and separated from her brother, she sets foot upon Illyria s sandy shore. Lost and alone, she disguises herself as a man and sets forth. Before long, chaos ensues as mistaken identity, love, pride and alcohol set a host of much loved characters on a series of hilarious adventures. Hopeless romantics, drunken knights, a pompous steward and fools galore abound in one of Mr. William Shakespeare s most celebrated comedies. Sure to delight family audiences from age 6 to 96, this is an ideal choice for an outdoor theatrical event. Wednesday 16 th August 2017 Severn Valley Teddy Bear s Picnic 11am-12.30pm If you go down to the woods today.bring your teddy bear and a packed lunch. Join our team for some fun games before enjoying your picnic in our meadows. Maybe you ll get to meet our Park Ranger bear! The event will include a short walk from the visitor centre to our bird hide meadow. This will follow tarmac paths so will be pushchair friendly. Child 3.50, Adult Free.
