Dallas Stars: Media Notes CAPITAL GAINS The Dallas Stars play host to the Washington Capitals Saturday night in the first of two meetings between the two clubs. Dallas has won threestraight contests against the Capitals and has earned a point in each of the last four meetings (30). A FOURCE TO BE RECONNED WITH Defenseman BRENDEN DILLON paced the Stars on Thursday night, notching an assist and adding a shorthanded goal for the third multipoint game of his NHL career. DILLON scored his firstcareer shorthanded goal Thursday night against the Panthers. The Stars are 0 in games when DILLON earns multiple points. CHIASSING AMY Stars forward ALEX CHIASSON scored the team s first goal of the 034 season Thursday night against CHIASSON made his NHL debut on April 3, 03 at Anaheim, and went on to score six goals and seven points in his first seven games. With the goal last night, CHIASSON now has eight career NHL points (7=8) in eight career NHL games and is the first Star to accomplish this feat since Mike Modano (98990). FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Forward VERNON FIDDLER earned his first point of the season on Thursday with an assist on the Stars shorthanded tally.
