ALL COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE; Teams will consist of 3 team members. Exciting News!! We will be running a teams competition in the Indoor Arena. Sponsored by ROADSTYLE WHOLESALE The 3 team members will be; - 1 Senior rider (a rider competing at 1.30m and above) and; either - 2 Junior Riders OR 2 Young Riders OR a Young Rider and a Junior Rider. Teams will be selected at random by the MSJC committee. Riders please indicate your interest by nominating for the team competition in the section provided on the entry form. If riders have more than 1 horse please nominate which horse will be the team horse in the section provided on the entry form. Riders please nominate 1 class on Saturday and 1 class on Sunday to score for your team in the section provided on the entry form. Introductions to team members will be held prior to the first class on Saturday. $150 and Rosettes will be awarded to the winning team. Please note; If there are insufficient nominations for complete teams some riders may not be in a team. Scoring will be 4 pts for 1 st, 3 pts for 2 nd, 2 pts for 3 rd, 1 pt for 4 th. Conditions of Entry All riders and owners must be members of the EA to compete in classes of 1.05 and above. All riders competing in classes less than 1.05m must be either a member of the Mallala Show Jumping Club, Pony Club or the EA. Riders must present in neat, clean attire and horses must be presented clean and well groomed. All riders and/or guardians for those under 18 years of age must sign a disclaimer and agree to abide by the rules, regulations and conditions set down by Mallala Showjumping Club. No Person, under any circumstances shall lunge, mount or ride a horse at Mallala without being a member of Mallala Show Jumping Club, Pony Club or EA and firstly signing a disclaimer. (This includes all grooms and/or Support crew). Forms will be available at the Secretary s desk or can be sent with entries and current EA membership number must be provided. Lunging is NOT permitted in the practice or warm up arena s. No horse shall be ridden unless entered in an event. The committee reserves the right to refuse entries The committee reserves the right to swab horses. Dogs must remain on leashes at all time. Camping costs $15 per vehicle per weekend. PLEASE NOTE: Only people with horses are permitted to camp. Temporary yards to be made no bigger then 4m x 4m. Entries taken on receipt of correct fees until classes are full. Mallala Showjumping Club members are given preference. Membership application will be accepted with entries and relevant discounts will apply. A Junior may compete in any Young Rider or Senior class provided the horse has a current performance card. If a Senior rider competes on a horse, that horse cannot then be competed on by a Junior rider in a Junior class. A horse may only compete in one championship event each day. In the event that there are 4 horses or less starting in a class, the prize money will be halved. No points will be awarded The committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry or to vary conditions to any class, to cancel any event or class without assigning any reason. Horses may compete in more than 2 classes on each day Objections Objections addressed to the ground jury must be lodged in writing and accompanied by a deposit of $40 within the following time limits:- Objections against eligibility to be a competitor or horse must be made not later than one hour before the start of competition. Objections to an obstacle or to the course or the length or the plan of the course must be made immediately after the inspection of the course and before the start of competition. Objections concerning irregularities or incidents during the competition must be made as soon as is practicable after the end of the competition and not later than half an hour after the announcements of the results. The jurisdiction of the ground jury extends from one hour before the start of the competition until half an hour after the announcements of the final results for the event for which the ground jury have been appointed. The appeals committee shall deal with appeals against decisions of the ground jury with objections referred to it and with all cases of infringement to the FEI regulations and rules for which the ground jury are not responsible. All appeals must be lodged in writing and accompanied by $40. Disclaimers The committee of the MSJC INC and the landowners DO NOT accept any responsibility for any accident, damage, injury or illness to personal property, horses, riders, spectators, or any other persons on the property whatsoever. It shall be a condition of entry that each nominator shall hold the Club blameless and shall indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any such incident. Horses and riders compete at their own risk PLEASE NOTE; Show jumping is a dangerous sport and could lead to bodily injuries or death. EA WAIVER/ DISCLAIMER: if for any reason the entry form is not signed (in case of junior signed by a legal guardian as well) you will not be permitted to start.
FEI ARTICLES In Table A; In general the number that immediately follows the article number, indicates whether it is against the clock or not, 1 means not against the clock and 2 means against the clock. The final number indicates the number of rounds. 238.1.1 A1 One round not against the clock. Optional jump off can be scheduled 238.1.2 AM3 First round, not against the clock, with one jump off against the clock to decide placing's. Equal times share places. 238.1.3 - AM4 First round not against the clock, with a jump off, again not against the clock followed by a jump off against the clock for first place. 238.2.1 A2 One round against the clock and placed in accordance to faults and times. A jump-off may be used to separate placings with equality of points and time. 238.2.2 AM5 Same as 238.1.2 with the time recorded in the first round to separate the equals amongst the minor placings 238.2.3 - AM6 Same as 238.1.3 with the time recorded in the first round to separate the equals amongst the minor placings 239 TABLE C The fastest time wins. Seconds are added to the time where faults are incurred. Refusals cost time but are counted for elimination. 245.3 AM7 Clear rounds jump off before leaving the arena.
