NOTE: BIKE TRANSITION BAG Take the bike and gear ítems to Bike Check In. The swim equipment, including your wetsuit, should go inside your BLUE BAG and this must be deposited in the area for bags in the first transition. The bicycle shoes can be on the bicycle pedals, but we recommend placing your shoes in the Bike Bag.
RUN TRANSITION BAG Take the Run Bag with your Bike to Bike Check In. It will be used after the Bike Course for the Run. > Running Shoes > Socks. > Sunglasses. > Cap/ visor > Bib number NOTE All the Run ítems must go inside the RED BAG, this must be deposited in the bag area in the second transition.

SWIM 3.8 KM ROLLING START GENERAL INFORMATION PLAYA BRISTOL There are no official practice swims but it is a public beach And athletes are able to swim at their own risk, please respect Any local notifications. Athletes will not be allowed to warm up at the swim start race morning ROLLING START > Athletes will enter the water from a self-seeded swim start line. > Self-seeding will be based on your individual abilities according to your expected finish time. Each athlete will be allotted 2 hours 20 minutes to complete the swim course. > Each athlete s time will begin when they cross the SWIM START mat of the swimming segment.

SWIM 3.8 KM > 2 Laps 1.900M > Buoyed Circuit > Water temperature will be announced on race morning in transition > WETSUITS will be mandatory the temperature is less than 15.9 C > Hydration station will have water after the first loop and the swim finish > Aqua socks (neoprene booties) and neoprene caps will be allowed. Official caps must be worn on top.
SWIM 3.8 KM CUT OFF > CUT OFF - Each athlete will have 2 hours 20 minutes to complete the entire course. > The swim course will close 2 hours and 20 minutes after the last athlete enters the water. Each athlete will have 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete the 3.8 KM swim. Individual athletes who take longer than 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete the swim will receive a DNF. SWIM CUT OFF 2 Laps x 1.900 mts. 2 hours 20 minutes.
TRANSITION 1 TAKE THE BLUE BAG > Athletes can only completely CHANGE in the change tents (not public nudity) > Put all SWIM items in the blue bag > Drop the BLUE BAG in the bag drop area after changing > Locate your bike and walk the Bike to the Mount line outside Transition > Mount the Bike after the orange mount line outside of Transition
YELLOW ZONE > YELLOW ZONE is where the race is neutralized. > The yellow no pass zone begins approximately 1 KM from transition and is about 1 KM long. It starts where cyclist can see a pedestrian bridge overhead and ends at a statue in Plaza España (a park on their left). Reverse start/finish of those locations when they are on their way back. > NO PASS ZONE > Decrease speed > Come out of aero position > PROHIBITED overtaking another athlete (keep distance from drafting)
BIKE COURSE 180 KM - CIRCUIT > The bike course is 3 loops/ 60 KM each > Each athlete will have 10 hours 30 minutes to finish the bike course from the time the start the swim. > There irs Midway cut off at 3:30 PM at 90 KM > There will be 3 hydratation stations. BIKE COURSE 180 KM MECHANIC SERVICE > There are two tents located in Constitution & Mar Chiquita roundabout where athletes can cover basic needs during the competition. MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC > Bike Mechanics will be roaming the Bike Course to help athletes with any issues on course. > It is important that the athlete carries his Mechanical Kit, to be able to be self-sufficient in the race if needed. This will help you with your race time.

DRAFTING > Drafting means entering into the draft zone of another athlete. This is a blue card and means a 5 minute penalty at the next penalty tent > The minimum distance that must be between the bikes is 6 bike lengths, measure the distance from your front wheel and the rear wheel of the cyclist in front of you. > You must complete your pass within 25 seconds

PENALTY TENT PROCEDURE of receiving a penalty. > You must stop at the NEXT Penalty Tent after receiving a penalty. > Once you arrive, report the card color, if you report the wrong color you will receive a DSQ. > The bib will be marked with a / for each penalty. > You must register with a signature. > Once you serve your penalty, you may continue the race.
