ABOUT THE (2017-18) Academic Heights Public School (AHPS) is e formal school brand from e House of Bachpan. AHPS was launched in 2009 and has 100+ schools country-wide, presently. To give exposure to learning, presentation and spoken skills while bringing out e flow of creative oughts and expressions. GUIDELINES 1. Dates of e Inter AHPS Mega Competitions (2017-18) The event dates are from Oct., 2017 to 6 Oct., 2017. All schools are supposed to reach e venue by 12:30 p. m. on Oct., 2017 and ey will depart from e venue at 3:30 p.m. on 6 Oct., 2017. TH 2. Eligibility Criteria Only AHPS students are eligible for e competitions. Students must fulfill e age criteria according to eir classes (mentioned below). In Academics & Fine Arts, ere will be ree categories:- Primary Classes III to V Middle Classes VI to VIII Secondary Classes IX and X In sports, students will participate as per eir age groups at levels. Under 10 Born between 2007-2009 Under 12 Born between 2005-2006 Under 1 Born between 2003-200 Under 16 Born between 2001-2002 3. Registration All e schools have to register emselves online only. Schools will fill e details of participants and eir participating events online only. After filling e details online, your forms will be directly shifted to payment gateway (i.e. online payment mode). Once e fee is transferred online, only en e form will be submitted. No offline forms will be accepted.. Total No. of Participants Allowed: 650 Due to limited spaces and resources only 650 students from across India will be able to participate in e Inter AHPS Mega Competitions (2017-18) on a first come first serve basis. Once e enrollment reaches 650, no form will be accepted irrespective of e last date. 5. Participation Fee Participation fee is `2750 + Taxes per child per event. This fee is non-refundable. Once e details (name of event & fee ) are filled and submitted, no changes are allowed. 5
TH 6. Late Fees Till 10 August, 2017 e fee will be `2750/- + Taxes. From 10 August to 25 August 2017 e fee will be `3750/- + Taxes. Late fee is applicable only till 25 August, 2017. After 25 August, 2017 no form will be accepted (even wi late fee). Special note:- Late fee concept will be applicable if ere will be vacant seats. If all e seats are filled already en, late fee concept would not be applicable. 7. Accommodation The accommodation arrangements will be in place at e venue only. 2 Separate Hostels available 1 Boys Hostel 1 Girls Hostel Beddings will be spread on e floor only. Pick & Drop facility Pick & Drop facility is available only from e railway station to e venue and vice-versa. Schools, who want to avail is facility are suggested to give eir arrival & departure details as early as possible. No one from e Regd. Office will be available at e stations. You will have to reach e parking lot where your AC buses would be waiting to drop you to e venue. Details like bus numbers, driver's name and contact no. will be provided to you in advance. 11. Contact Details Schools are supposed to nominate and share contact no. of any one teacher coordinator/leader of your school. He/she will be known as school leader. He/she will have to wear a leader's cap of his/her name (provided by e Regd. Office). Regd. Office will communicate wi leaders only. It is advised to share his/her mobile no. wi relationship officer as early as possible. 12. Medical Assistance In case of any emergency, an ambulance and first-aid facilities will be available 2x7 at e campus. An emergency number will also be displayed at e venue. 13. Widrawal Each student can take part only in one event. So if she/he wants to swipe e event, she/he will not be allowed to do so. If one wants to widraw en she/he may but e fees will not be refundable. 8
FAQ's Q.1 What are e dates of e Inter AHPS Mega Competitions (2017-18)? Ans. Dates of e Inter AHPS Mega Competitions (2017-18) are from Oct., 2017 to 6 Oct., 2017. Q.2 When and where will we get e itinerary of is program? Ans. All e schools must report at e venue by 12:30 p.m. on Oct., 2017 and will leave on 6 Oct., 2017 after p.m. The Program Itinerary will be provided at e Reception on Oct., 2017. Q.3 From where will we get e forms and oer details? Ans. All communication will be done online, including filling e registration forms, submissions, payments, confirmations, list of participants, etc. Q. Can we register e names by sending hard copies to e Regd. Office? Ans. No, only online entries will be accepted. The participation form and oer details must be filled and sent online because is time, Registered Office will not be handling e registration process at all. The task has been outsourced and e Regd. Office will get e final list only. Q.5 Can we contact e Regd. Office to confirm our registration? Ans. The Regd. Office cannot help you in enrollments. You have to fill e forms online which will be recorded by a separate company. They will confirm your registration rough mails only. The enrollment process will start from 10 June 2017. Q.7 What is last date for online registration? Ans. The last date for online registration is 10 August. Q.8 What is e participation fee for is event? Ans. The participation fee is ` 2750/- + Taxes per student per event. Q.9 Are ere any oer charges except e participation fee of `2750/- + Taxes? Ans. Till 10 August, 2017, each student has to pay `2750/- + Taxes only. If e student registers between 10 August 2017 and 25 August 2017. She/he has to pay `3750/- + Taxes per person [`1000/- as late fee + `2750/-]. All e meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Evening tea/snacks) will be provided at e scheduled timings. No meal will be served in between. If any student wants to buy/eat anying from canteen/grocery shop, she/he can do it after paying from his/her pocket. But we don't ink ere will be any such requirement. Q.10 Is e participation fee refundable? Ans. No, e participation fee is non-refundable. Q.11 What amenities/facilities are included in e participation fee? Ans. The participation fee includes Pick & drop from New Delhi Railway Station to venue & vice versa. 2 nights stay All meals (For 3 days i.e. Oct. 2017 to 6 Oct. 2017) A Kit (having a T-shirt, I-card and Leader's cap). TH 10 Q.12 Can a student participate in more an one event? Ans. No, a student cannot participate in more an one event. Q.13 How many teachers are allowed to accompany? (Teacher: Students Ratio) Ans. One teacher is allowed free of cost to accompany 10 students. Office will not pay any amount for your travel from your state to Delhi or vice-versa. Only pick and drop facility wiin Delhi will be provided. Q.16 How can we reach e venue after reaching Delhi? Ans. You will send your arrival & departure details to e Registered Office by 15 August, 2017. On at basis, Pick and drop facility will be provided to you by e Regd. Office and details of pick & drop (vehicle/timings) will be given to you before your arrival in Delhi. Q.17 Will anyone from e Registered Office be available for pick up? Ans. No one will be available from e Registered Office for pick up. Google maps of e station will be available on e website. You will have to reach e parking lot where your buses would be waiting to drop you to e venue. Details of bus numbers, drivers etc. will be given. Q.18 Can we come to e venue on 5 Oct., 2017 just before e start of e events? Ans. No one will be allowed to enter e venue after 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 2017. Q.19 Will e Registered Office provide us pick up and accommodation a day/night before e event? Ans. No. e Registered Office will not provide any pick up or accommodation a day/night before or after e event. If required, kindly refer special note of Accommodation in Guidelines. Q.20 What would happen if our train is late? Ans. You should inform your Relationship Officer if you are getting late in e journey. We will ensure to pick you up on your arrival. Q.21 What documents must schools carry for is Mega event? Ans. The following documents must be carried 1. I-cards of each participant (photocopies) 2. I-cards of e teachers accompanying students (photocopies) 3. Permission letter from e Director. Event-wise list of e participants
5. Photocopies of bir certificates of each participant 6. Original Photographs of all participants and teacher 7. Voter ID Card/Aadhar Card/Driving License/Passport (Photocopy of each participant) 8. Consent letter from each parent 9. A medical certificate from a doctor stating at e child is healy and fit to participate in is event or particular game. Special Note:- Schools have to submit is file at e time of registration at Reception on Oct., 2017. Q.22 What must students carry along wi em? Ans. Each student must carry 1. Night Dress 2. 2 pairs of casual wear 3. Sports shoes. Slippers 5. Medicine (as needed) 6. Toilet kit (soap, brush, toopaste etc.) 7. Equipment for e events ey are participating in (like racquet, pen /pencil, colours etc.) 8. Aadhar Card/Passport (photo copy) Q.23 Will ere be certificates for participants? Ans. Yes, all e participants will be given Participation Certificates. Q.2 What are e Awards/Medals for e winners? Ans. First ree position winners of each event will be awarded wi Merit Certificates and Medals (Gold, Silver & Bronze). The school at wins maximum number of gold medals, will be awarded a Winner Trophy. Q.25 Who will judge e participants? Ans. A separate jury for each event will be ere. They will judge all e participants. Based on eir observations and judgement, e medals & certificates etc. will be given. Q.26 Can we leave e place earlier if our school does not qualify for e finals? Ans. No, schools are not allowed to leave earlier under any circumstances. However, your teachers & students are allowed to watch oer's competitions. Q.27 How will we come to know about e details of our stay & competitions? Ans. As soon as you register yourself at e Reception of e Venue, e complete chart including details of e event, directions to your rooms and lawns will be provided. Q.28 What is e last date to deposit e fee? Ans. You have to send in your registrations by 10 Aug., 2017 and e last date of depositing e fee is same as at of e registration i.e, 10 Aug., 2017. TH 11

Q.30 Will e venues of stay and competition be different or same? Ans. The campus is same for e stay and competitions. There is hardly 500m walking distance between e places of stay & competitions. Q.31 Is ere any uniform for ese competitions? Ans. Yes, T-shirt and cycling shorts comprise e uniform to be worn by e students during e events. T-shirts will be provided by e Registered Office but black Lowers/Cycling shorts are to be arranged by e students emselves. For Solo Dance and Group Dance events, participants have to bring eir own costumes & props. Q.32 Is it mandatory to take consent letter from parents? Ans. Yes, e consent letter from parents is mandatory. All schools have to bring e hard copies of e consent letters of all e participants and submit at e venue before e start of e events. Q.33 How would be e weaer of Delhi during e event? What type of cloes should we bring? Ans. Normally, Delhi s weaer in October is moderate and pleasant. It is neier too cold nor too hot. But still, you should contact your Relationship Officer two weeks before e event. He/she will tell you e exact weaer conditions at at time. Q.3 Can students bring camera, phone or any oer electric gadgets? Ans. Students are advised not to bring any valuables but if someone brings, e school and e Regd. Office will not be responsible for e loss of such ings. Q.35 Do we have to bring any lock? Ans. The teachers are advised to bring 3- locks wi em for e security of eir bags, baggage etc. Q.36 Will any assistance/help be given for e booking of tickets? Ans. No, e Registered Office will not help in is matter. Q.37 Can I meet my relatives/friends outside e venue? Ans. No, you are not allowed to go out. Q.38 Will ere be any admit card for e participants? Ans. Yes, e Registered Office will issue an admit card for each participant which will be sent by courier to you. It is mandatory for em to carry e card wi em during e event. In case of loss, you will have to pay a penalty of ` 250/- to reissue. Q.39 Which ings are not allowed? Ans. Liquor, tobacco products, weapons etc. are not allowed. Anybody found wi ese will be disqualified from e event. A surprise checking can be done in 12
any room anytime. Q.0 What can be e total streng of e participants? Ans The total streng of participants is 650. Therefore, e selection of students will be done on first come first serve basis. Once 650 students are selected e registration process will be terminated irrespective of e last date. Q.1 Will we get breakfast on Oct., 17? Ans. Refreshment boxes will be given to you in e bus on Oct., 17 which will include Dal Kachori, Bread Pakoda, Balushahi, Frooti, Cutlet, Biscuit, Sauce. Rest of e meals include from lunch on Oct., 17 to Lunch on 6 Oct., 17. Q.2 If we stay till 7 Oct., 17, en will we get breakfast from e Regd. Office? Ans. No, we can only provide you Refreshment box at will be same as given on Oct., 17. It will be chargeable at an extra cost of ` 200/- per member. Q.3 Can we get what we want in e menu? Ans. The menu will be fixed for everyone. Find e menu at e end of Guidelines. Q. Will e Regd. Office organise Delhi Darshan? Ans. No, Regd. Office will not organise Delhi Darshan is time. Q.5 Will we get a chance to have a photograph wi e Chief guest? Ans. No, no photography session will be done wi e Chief Guest but e student will get his/her framed photograph. Q.6 Will we get a separate room for stay? Ans. No, your stay will be combined wi students/teachers of oer schools. Q.7 Will we be provided wi A/C rooms? Ans. The rooms can be A/C rooms, non-a/c rooms, non-cooler rooms etc. It is possible at no lift facilities will be available at e venue. Q.8 How will we get to know e directions in e campus? Ans. A campus map will be provided to you for your convenience. Q.9 Who can contact e Regd. Office for information, query etc? Ans. You are supposed to nominate any one teacher of your school as School Leader. He/she can contact e Regd. Office for information/query etc. Q.50 What would happen if sufficient no. of participants are not ere in an event? Ans. If ere are insufficient no. of participants in any event, students form oer schools (oer an AHPS) in Delhi/NCR will be allowed to participate in ose events. Though it is an Inter AHPS Mega Competitions, schools oer an AHPS will be allowed to participate in is mega event (if e no. of AHPS candidates/participants are lesser in any event). TH 13
TH Participants : Classes III to V ENGLISH RECITATION (WITH ACTION) Criteria: Presentation & Expression 10 marks Pronunciation/Diction 10 marks Grammatical pauses 10 marks Voice modulation 10 marks Confidence & uninterrupted presentation 10 marks Suggested topics: Any poem by Vikram Se, Kamla Das, Stephen Spender, Robert Browning, Robert Frost, John Keats, Heidi Campbell, William Blake, Alfred Lord Tennyson etc. Guidelines: Each school can send only 01 candidate for participation. Each speaker will get maximum 3 minutes. A bell will be rung for e notification of e last 30 seconds. Students are advised to just wish everyone, tell e name of e poem and poet and start e poem. Students should not waste eir time introducing emselves or summarizing e poem's content. Please submit two copies each of e poems to be recited to e panel of judges. Protest if any, must be submitted in writing along wi e fee wiin 20 min, accompanied by a protest fee of ` 500/- (five hundred only) which will be refunded, if e protest is upheld. 1

Students will submit 2 copies of each of eir speeches to e Panel of Judges at e venue. Students will come on stage, wish everyone, name e topic and whose speech it is and start speaking. Students are advised not to waste time in lengy introductions or endings. It would mean at every swimmer in ese events will get only one chance and e final positions in ese events will be determined on e basis of time recorded in different heats. No swimmer shall be permitted to participate wiout proper swimming costume, cap and goggles. The decision of e Referee on all technical aspect will be final. In case of any protest, e decision of jury of Appeal/Protest Committee shall be final after 30 minutes. The points shall be awarded on e team basis according to e point system as per e following criteria as adopted by SFI. All e first ree position winning swimmers shall be awarded wi e Merit Certificate and e Medal. All e remaining participants shall be provided wi a Participation Certificate. In a match, e player who earns e maximum point will be e winner. The tournament shall be played on knock-out basis. The players will report to e match officials 30 minutes prior to e scheduled time at e tennis court. All e matches will be played according to e best of 7 rule except Semi-Final and Final. Semi-Final and Final will be played on 3 set rule. In case of tie, e match shall be decided by e Tie-Breaker. The protest must be lodged at e same time of happening of e event. The decision of e umpire on all technical aspects will be final and if decision is not accepted by e player, he/she will be disqualified from e tournament. The match timing and venue may be changed by e organizing committee. The tournament committee shall not be responsible for any mishap. A player shall be allowed wi proper football kit as per laws of e Game. No player can be substituted in e game. In a match, e team which scores e maximum goal will be e winner. In case of a draw e match shall be decided by a Tie-Breaker. The referee shall choose e goal at which end e penalty kicks shall be taken. The players who are on e field of play during e regular time are allowed to take penalty kicks. The tournament shall be played on knock-out basis/league basis. The Football Teams will report to e match officials 20 minutes prior to e scheduled time at e football field. The Team in-charge shall be responsible for e conduct of e team on and off e football field. The protest must be lodged wiin 30 minutes after e match is over wi proof. The tournament will be conducted according to e Basketball Federation of India rules. The decision of e referee(s) will be final and binding. The number of players representing a school shall not be more an 5. All e matches shall be conducted on knock-out/league basis. In case e number of team is less, e tournament may be organized on league basis. The match to decide e ird and four positions shall also be played. In any match, played on knock-out basis including e final, if ere is a tie, extension of five minutes shall continue to be given till e game is decided. In case of a tie in matches played on league basis, e following procedure shall decide e winner, runner-up etc. i. The team which has beaten e oer team in e league matches shall be e winner. ii. The tie between more an two teams will be decided on e basis of points scored and points against. The team securing e greatest quotient will be e winner. The points scored for and against shall be counted only in e matches played between e teams in tie. iii. If e tie still persists, e formula will be points scored/points against. The team wi highest difference will be declared e winner. Again, e scoring will be counted in e matches played between e teams in tie. The number "5, 6, 7" sized ball will be used according to age group for matches. A team shall be prepared to play more an two matches in a day, if needed. The Organizing Secretary reserves e right to change e date and time of a match, if necessary due to unavoidable circumstances. Teams must report at e court 30 minutes before e game is scheduled to start. Teams must be in proper kit wi proper chest numbers printed on e shirt of every player. Teams shall use number from to 15 only. The team at has been named first in e fixture, will sit on e left side of e official's Table and shall score towards e right side of e court. In case a team intends to protest against e opposite team; e Captain of e team at intends to protest, must sign e score sheet. Each team will comprise of e same 11 players. All teams will ensure at eir players wear proper cricket kit (white/off white/ uniform colour). Players wiout proper cricket kit, including substitute fielders, will not be allowed to play. All e teams will have eir own cricket goods. (Like kit bag-bat, leg guards, helmet, batting gloves, abdominal guard, wicket keeping gloves & pads, etc.) Team captains will ensure at all his players report at least 15 minutes prior to e start of each match. Team captain must submit e Playing team list to e umpire before going for e toss. The bowler is permitted, before releasing e ball and provided he has not completed his usual delivery swing, to deliberately attempt to run-out e nonstriker. A Free Hit is to be awarded after all modes of No ball. No power play in e match. Players will accept e umpire s decisions honorably and will co-ordinate. If any team does not take its position on e field wiin 15 minutes of e announcement of e match, a walk-over will be herded over to e team in place. Team players will sit in e dugout. Only one person per team will coordinate wi scorer and commentator. If e match is a tie, e super over will decide e match result. Point Award System : Maximum runs by individual player. Maximum wickets taken by individual player. A player whose overall performance is e best in batting/bowling/fielding will be named as e Best all-rounder. If ere is any injury before or during e match, it is advisable to rest. If ere is any serve in ree continuous terms, e player will lose e match. The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches and struck so at e ball first bounces on e server's side and en e opponent's side. If e serve is legal except at it touches e net, it is called a Let serve. Let serves are not scored and are reserved. The ball will be eier orange or white and 0 mm in size.
