February 2016 American House Resident Christmas Party Lucy Goyette and family enjoying the party and a table by the fireplace. Our annual Christmas party was a big hit as always! We had a record number of family join us this year. We had a very nice dinner of shrimp salad, prime rib and cheesecake, along with champagne and punch. After dinner, we enjoyed entertainment by Arlyn Willett. Jay from Patriot was here to take pictures in front of the Christmas tree on the second floor. 2 Exciting News! Ragtime at the Whiting! We will be going to see Ragtime at the Whiting, Saturday, February 13, at 12:45. The show starts at 2 p.m. and the tickets are $10 each. We only have 8 tickets available. Please make sure you pay Barb for your ticket by Monday, the 8th. If you eat at the 1 p.m. meal, please eat at 11:30 on this day. We will be going to see Annie on April 10, so please only choose one show since we have so few tickets. 3 Breaking News! Chair Massages With Rae Super Bowl 50 Super Bowl 50 is here! Sunday, February 7, game starts at 6:30. Please join other football fans in the bistro to enjoy the game. We will have snacks and drinks, so come join the fun! Mardi Gras Party We will be having a Mardi Gras Party in the dining room on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 2:30 p.m. Kenny Lang will be here to entertain us, so wear your festive Mardi Gras colors. We will have beads, treats and drinks. Let s have a party! We will be adding a new program this month! Rae will be here to give chair massages. There will be 6 massages in one hour. February is our first month and she will only be here on the 17th. Going forward, every month she will be here the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. The sign-up sheet is in the lobby book. Please only sign up for one session. You can sign up on the wait list for the second session in the month, but only on the wait list. 6 New Resident Meet and Greet American House Employees Once again, we would like to say THANK YOU to all the residents who put money into the employee gift fund! We enjoy all of you here and it is our privilege to serve you. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2016. Elvis Impersonator We had a great time celebrating what would have been Elvis 81st birthday. Our dining room was rocking with great music and a fantastic impersonator. As you can see, he was a big hit with the ladies and all of our gentlemen said they really enjoyed the music. Alice had a great time with Elvis! He had us all singing along. Charlott enjoys a quick hug from Elvis. Bill looks like he is having a great time, too! French Fry Friday! Please come join us in the dining room on Friday, Feb. 26, at 2:30 p.m. for our New Resident Meet and Greet combined with French Fry Friday.
