Members in grades 7 and over as of January 1 of the exhibit year will be allowed to show a maximum of three animals. There are NO alternate entries. Registered Animals are not allowed to show in the Grade Classes. Health rules are also enclosed. For more specific rules and cattle health regulations, please refer to the 2018 Green County Fairbook at http://greencountyfair.net/pageserver/fairbook-jr-class. State health regulations require that ALL dairy animals that are exhibited at cattle shows in Wisconsin MUST be accompanied by some type of identification. This can be in the form of registration papers, a tattoo from a breed association, metal WI ear tag, or any herd tag. It s against State Health Regulations to bring animals to Dairy Day or the Green County Fair that are infected with ringworm, warts or mange. Any cattle found with ringworm, warts or mange will be removed from the premises and not allowed to show! Health Regulations are posted on the Green County Fair website. Animals can only be unloaded and checked by a veterinarian between 7:30 and 9 AM. All animals must be checked by a veterinarian no later than 9:00 AM. Exhibitors must also check in at the registration table and show registration papers in the JMB Showbarn by 9:15 AM! Exhibitors will receive a complimentary t-shirt at this time. The show will take place in the JMB Showbarn with the Registered Holstein classes being shown in the south end and all the other classes shown in the north end of the building. Judging will start at 9:30 AM beginning with showmanship and there is no pre-registration for showmanship. However, please check and make sure you enter your cattle in the correct animal classes on the enclosed entry form. 1

Over Please NOTE: All Exhibitors are REQUIRED to help with clean-up. All manure and wet feed should be thrown in the manure spreader or designated area. Exhibitors will be responsible for hauling home all of their straw and unused feed. Super sacks will be provided to help remove all of your feed and bedding to your trailer. All Green County Fair Rules apply to Dairy Day. REMEMBER: Vet Check is REQUIRED prior to tying animals. Vet Check will run from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Animals must receive a barn pass from the vet before entering and being tied in barn 6. (Tri-County Dairy Barn will only be used if more space is needed.) Youth can enter or show up to two registered managerial animals for Dairy Day. Registered animals owned by the exhibitor must be transferred and in their possession by May 1, 2018. Original registration papers are needed at check in at the show. Faxed copies will not be accepted unless the breed association faxes the paperwork to the UWEX Office prior to the show! Dairy Cattle Class listings are in alignment with Green County Fair Dairy classes. Please take time to read and make sure you are entered correctly. Classes may be combined based on final entries. All exhibitors, friends and relatives attending the cattle show must enter the fairgrounds through the East gate. Please note that there may be other events going on at the fairgrounds on the day of the cattle show, and that all vehicles attending the Dairy Day Cattle Show should park north of the Fairgrounds road. After unloading, all trucks and trailers should park around or near the swine barn. The Green County Ag Chest trailer will be selling ice cream at the event; other food stands may also be available, due to other events going on at the fairgrounds that day. PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED SOUTH OF THE FAIRGROUNDS ROAD! University of Wisconsin, U.S. Department of Agriculture and Wisconsin counties cooperating.
