FRIENDS OF THE WATERLOO We are pleased to say, that after months of uncertainty, the future of the Waterloo Hotel, Blackpool, has been resolved. New lease holders are in place and very supportive of the bowls venue. Historically the Home of Crown Green Bowls has always been run by a Bowls Manager but we have now decided to form a committee to support the manager. Many people over the past difficult few months have offered support and therefore we have also formed a new association called The Friends of the Waterloo. This will allow members the opportunity to take advantage of various benefits plus be invited to an Annual General Meeting to have any input into the running of the venue. Membership of FRIENDS OF THE WATERLOO entitles each member to the following benefits during the year. Members have free access to the Waterloo at all times plus one guest (this does not apply to BCGBA events) Members receive free programmes at all events that they attend Members receive a 5% discount in the Waterloo shop Anyone under 18 is admitted free of charge with a member All members will be invited to an AGM to review accounts and have input into running of the Waterloo Bowls Club Annual Membership fee of 100 Membership runs for 12 months from date of payment received To take advantage of the above benefits, please produce your Membership card when visiting The Waterloo. For more information and to request a membership application form please contact: The Bowls Manager, Waterloo Bowling Club, Waterloo Road, Blackpool, FY4 2AF or contact Mark Audin on 07986-799299 or by email at markaudinbackup@gmail.com. The committee will consist of: Mark Audin (Bowls Manager) Peter Jose (Treasurer) Mel Evans MBE Tony Gatley Ricky Cochrane
