NEW SHOTGUN FINALS FORMAT 2017 2 This Finals program is basically an elimination or knock out competition and consists of 5 extra stages of additional targets in each event. > The top 6 athletes after the end of the Qualification rounds qualify for the Final. New BIB numbers 1 6 will be issued. (Highest ranked = BIB 1). > All Finalists start at 0 (Zero) at the beginning of the first stage. Scores obtained in the Qualification rounds are NOT carried forward. Finals stage scores are cumulative (Results will be added from stage to stage and carried forward). > In TRAP and DOUBLE TRAP finalists occupy the shooting stations (1-6) in BIB order (BIB number 1 = station 1). > In SKEET, Athletes shoot in BIB order from stations 3, 4 and 5 only. > The lowest BIB numbered athlete competing in a stage ALWAYS shoots first. > After each stage the remaining athletes will keep their original positions.

NEW SHOTGUN FINALS FORMAT Preparation Times TRAP (9.18.3.1) An athlete must take position, close the gun and call for the target within twelve (12) seconds after the previous athlete has fired at a regular target and has opened the gun 4 DOUBLE TRAP (9.18.3.2) An athlete must take position, close the gun and call for the Double within twelve (12) seconds after the previous athlete has fired at a regular double and has opened the gun SKEET (9.18.3.3) Time to occupy the next station is a maximum of 10 seconds. After which the maximum total time allowed to call for the target(s) on that station is thirty (30) seconds. Time limit in a shoot off fifteen (15) seconds. NOTE: During the Finals preparation time limits must be controlled with an electronic timing device managed by an extra appointed Referee

SKEET SHOOT-OFFS DURING FINALS MEDALS STAGES 11 Shooting in turn firstly at a regular double on station 3. (2 shots) If still tied a reverse double on station 3. (2 shots) If still tied continue the same procedure on Stations 4 and 5. 12 Scoreboard Pauses During the Finals PURPOSE: TV presenters will use these pauses to update their graphics and changes in scores and rankings. The Announcer will also make brief comments (5 25 seconds) for the benefit of journalists and spectators. PROCEDURE: TRAP & DOUBLE TRAP The shooting is paused after all Finalists have fired at 10 or 20 targets or doubles and subsequently after every 5 targets or doubles. PROCEDURE: SKEET The shooting is paused in a stage every time the athletes have all completed one station METHOD: The pause and duration will be indicated each time on the appropriate station microphone stand. The Referee will command READY when shooting is to continue.
13 How many persons must be present at the Final? Apart from the 6 athletes, their coaches and the TV crew (1-2 cameramen) a total of 13-14 persons are normally present on the FOP 1. 15 TIMING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR -Ask the athletes to proceed for dry firing and test firing at least 10 minutes before the start of the Finals. - Line up the athletes / Referee in charge / Jury in charge, 4 minutes before the start of the Finals. Be in direct communication with the ISSF TV, in case of any delays. -Before presentation, make sure that you have a Green Light from the cartridge control Jury and that there is no DSQ. -After Presentation, athletes move to their shooting stations and Referee gives the signal START.
