FIS SNOWBOARD CROSS WORLD CUP TEAM INVITATION The Turkish Ski Federation and the Organizing Committee of the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup Erzurum are pleased to invite all FIS affiliated nations to participate this remarkable event which will be held in Palandöken/Erzurum (TURKEY) on 19-21 January 2018. Erzurum: The Peak of Anatolia! The city of Erzurum is one of the most important tourism centres of the East Anatolian region and it s built at the feet of Palandöken Mountain Range. Erzurum is located 2000 metres above the sea level with a province population of 762.000 by 2016. Erzurum is one of the highest and the coldest cities in Turkey with a harsh continental climate generally, the winters are very cold and snowy and the summers are very hot and dry. Most of the precipitation is in the form of snow; the area is covered with snow almost half of the year The average number of snowy days a year is around 50 and the snow stays on the ground for about 112 days. Erzurum/Palandoken Ejder 3200 Ski Resort is one of the most popular ski resort in Turkey and was the host venue of the FIS Snowboard Junior World Championships 2013. Upon starting every competitor confirms that he/she acknowledges the race course and safety precautions as adequate and sufficient. Above all Organizingcommittee,Palandöken / Ejder3200 Skiresort, the FIS, Turkish Ski Federation, race staff, sponsor and suppliers,their agents, employees and volunteers shall not be responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official or other person in conjunction with the organizing or staging of the event. Insurance: Each individual NSA is responsible for providing sufficient insurance for its participants athletes and officials (ICR art. 204.2, 212.4, 212.5). The Organizing Committee, Palandöken Ejder 3200 Ski Resort, the FIS and Turkish Ski Federation decline any responsibility for accidents, damages or lost equipment during the training or racing days, nor are they liable to third party claims. Participation Fee: According to the FIS WC Rules (art. 5.9) a mandatory Participation Fee of CHF 30 (or equivalent in EUR or Turkish Lira- ) per each competitor has to be paid to the organizing committee for the official training and competition days. The payment can be done in cash or by credit card to the race office before the event. Registration/Accreditation: Registration and accreditation will take place at the Race Office at Polat Hotel/Palandöken starting on Tuesday 16 th January 2018. TC Meetings: All planned Team Captains Meetings (TCM) will be held at the Polat Hotel's meeting room. First TCM (info meeting) is scheduled on Wednesday 16 th January 2018, 18.00h. Transportation: Free shuttle service for the airport/hotel/airport and hotel/gondola/hotel transfers of the participating teams will be organize by the Organizing Committee free of charge. This service valid only for the period of 16-22.01.2018. Private transfers arrangements are available on special request from the teams. In this case 30 per person for one way will be charged.

The accommodation expenses have to be paid cash to the Race Office which will be located in Polat Hotel. Waxing Rooms: Waxing Rooms or containers will be provided and allocated according to team size around Polat Hotel. Prize Money: Prize money will be awarded according to the FIS WC Rules and Regulations. They will be paid by bank transfer.therefore, all top 10 placed athletes have to fill in the FIS Bank Transfer Prize Money Form and hand it over in the Race Office together with a passport copy.
