'S HAT Written by Will Mabbitt Based on, If Any Address Phone Number

1 INT. TREE - MORNING 1,, are asleep under their duvets. 1 Morning Tib! 1 (APPEARING FROM BENEATH DUVET) 2 Yawn! 2 3 Morning Lalloo! 3 (APPEARING FROM BENEATH DUVET) 4 Yawn! 4 5 Morning Bobble! 5 (APPEARING FROM BENEATH DUVET) 6 Yawn! 6 7 What are you going to do today, 7 Olobobs? Close up of Tib sitting up in bed. 8 Maybe it s a flying-to-the-moon 8 kind of day! Cut to Lalloo. She has just put on her dress. 9...Or maybe it s a looking-for-an- 9 Oggyboo kind of day! Cut to Bobble. He is dressed and pulling on his hat. The hat is a bit small and after he has jammed it on his head it pops up so it s sitting right on top of his head. 10 Oh! 10 Bobble tries once more but the hat pops up again. (CONT D) 11 Small? 11 Bobble tries again with more force and this time the hat pops off and out of shot.

2. We see the hat sailing out of the open window. (CONT D) 12 TOO Small! 12 Bobble starts to cry. 13 Or maybe it s a sorting-out- 13 Bobble s hat kind of day! 2 EXT. OLOBOB TREE. 2 Bobble s hat is lying on the ground. Olobobs exit from Olobob Tree. 14 Here s your hat Bobble! 14 Tib picks up Bobble s hat and balances it right at the top of Bobble s head. He steps back and inspects Bobble. 15 (CONT D) Hmmmm. It does look a little bit 15 small. 16 Never mind - it just means that 16 you re getting bigger... 17 Bigger? 17 Groan-Up walks in to shot and stops. He says something <MUMBLE MUMBLE> that might be describing what getting bigger is. 18 That s right - everyone is growing 18 and changing all of the time, Bobble. Bobble looks worried. 19 Don t worry Bobble, you won t ever 19 be as grown up as Groan Up! Groan-Up chuckles <MUMBLE MUMBLE> and walks off. Cut to close-up of Tib.

3. 20 I wonder if we can make your hat 20 bigger too Bobble... Cut to Lalloo and Tib trying to stretch the hat. Lalloo is holding onto the bell. Bobble is watching nervously. 21 Erm, Olobobs. I m not sure that s a 21 good idea... (STRAINING) 22 Just. A. Bit. More... 22 The bell comes off the hat and Tib and Lalloo fall over. The bell flies through the air. Cutaway to LEMON eating some grass. The Bell hits her on the head and hooks over one of her antlers. She looks up at the sound of a tinkle but doesn t see anything so returns to munching on grass. Cut back to Olobobs. Lalloo is holding the hat - now without bell... Bobble is clearly upset. 23 Bobble bell GONE! 23 24 (regarding the broken hat) Sorry Bobble... (brightening) I 24 know! 26 She picks up an acorn from the floor and places it on the 26 hat, and then puts it on Bobble s head - but it rips down the middle! The acorn gives off a dull <clunk>. Bobble is not amused, and the hat drops off him and lands limply on the floor. 25 Ohhhh... 25 26 Oh dear... 26 27 Um... I think it might be time for 27 a trip to the... 28 Olobob Top! 28 Bobble s ripped/broken hat falls off his head during the energetic shout!

4. 3 SONG 3 We SEGUE into the Olobob Top sequence. 29 Hey Olobob Top, here we come! 29 30 Whatever we make it will be fun, 30 31 Lots of shapes all colours and 31 sizes, 32 Olobob Top you re full of suprises! 32 33 We need to make a new, BIGGER hat 33 for Bobble! A short sequence of shots show the Olobobs building - Bobble without any hat on - until finally we TRACK BACK to show they have built HATROYSHKA 1. A huge Russian doll person with a big hat like Bobble s (except without a bell). Hatroyshka 1 is asleep. (CONT D) 34 Who is it, Bobble? 34 Bobble points at Hatroyshka 1 s hat. He s jumping up and down with excitement. 35 Hat! Hat! Hat! 35 Hatroyshka 1 wakes up. HATROYSHKA 1 (IN A DEEP BOOMING VOICE 36 FULL OF PORTENT) I am hat hat hat Hatroyshka! I have 36 come to give you a new hat. The Olobobs gasp as Hatroyshka 1 reaches to the top of her head and removes her hat. She places it with some ceremony on top of Bobble s head. The hat is so big it covers him completely. (MUFFLED) 37 Hooray! 37 38 (WHISPERING TO ) I think it s actually a little TOO 38 big. 39 Ahem. Thank you for Bobble s new 39 hat, Hatroyshka. It might be just a little bit too big though.

5. HATROYSHKA 1 40 Oh. Sorry! One moment... 40 A slightly smaller HATROYSHKA 2 jumps out of the huge Hatroyshka 1. The momentum of the jump causing her to weeble exit (LEFT). 41 Ooh hello, I wasn t expecting that! 41 42 Follow that Hat! 42 Lalloo and Tib and Hatroyshka 1 exit (LEFT). (MUFFLED) 43 Hello? 43 Lalloo and Tib and Hatroyshka 1 enter (LEFT). 44 Sorry Bobble! 44 Hatroyshka 1 frees Bobble from the hat. 45 Come on! 45 Lalloo and Tib and Bobble and Hatroyshka 1 exit (LEFT) again. 4 EXT. FOREST 4 Hatroyshka 2 has come to a wobbling stop. Olobobs and Hatroyshka 1 enter (RIGHT). HATROYSHKA 2 (IN A SLIGHTLY LESS DEEP 46 BOOMING VOICE FULL OF PORTENT) I am hat hat hat Hatroyshka! I have 46 come to give you a new hat. Hatroyshka 2 reaches to the top of her head and removes her hat. She places it with some ceremony on top of Bobble s head. The hat is still too big. It covers his whole top half. (MUFFLED) 47 Hooray? 47 48 Erm... It still looks a tiny bit 48 big. HATROYSHKA 2 49 Oh. Sorry! One moment... 49

6. A third Hatroyshka 3 pops out. She is the same size as Bobble. 50 HATROYSHKA 3 (IN A SQUEAKY VOICE) I am hat hat hat Hatroyshka! I have 50 come to give you a new hat. Hatroyshka 3 takes her hat off and puts it on Bobble. This time it fits perfectly. 51 51 / 52 It fits! 52 53 Hooray! 53 54 Well wasn t that fun. Bobble has a 54 new hat and everything is... Oh dear. Bobble? What s wrong now? (POINTING TO HIS HEAD) 55 Bobble bell gone. 55 56 Sorry Bobble. Not all hats have a 56 bobble bell like your old one. There is a soft ringing from off-screen. 57 Bobble bell? 57 The bell rings again. 58 It s getting louder! 58 Lemon enters (LEFT). She still has Bobble s bell hanging from her antlers. 59 LEMON Oh Olobobs - something terrible has 59 happened... My ears are broken! They are ringing at me wherever I go! Lemon shakes her head and the bell rings again. LEMON (CONT D) 60 THERE IT IS AGAIN! ARGHHHH! 60

7. 61 Bobble bell! 61 Tib unhooks the bell from Lemon s antlers and plonks it on top of Bobble s hat. Bobble wiggles his head and the bell rings. 62 Hooray! 62 63 Bobble s hat has a bobble bell 63 again! 64 And look.. 64 Hatroyshka 1 and Hatroyshka 2 enter (LEFT), both presenting their hats to Bobble (they hold them out to him). 65 HATROYSHKA 3...spare hats for when you grow 65 even bigger. 66 Wow! Thank you! 66 Cutaway to Bobble looking up at Hatroyshka 1 s massive hat. 67 Don't worry Bobble - I don't think 67 you'll ever be big enough for THAT hat! But I know someone who is - The scene widens as Groan-Up steps in to shot <MUMBLE MUMBLE>. 68 Groan-Up! 68 Hatroyshka 1 passes his big hat up off top of shot (to Groan- Up). Groan-Up makes very appreciative sounds <MUMBLE MUMBLE!> (CONT D) 69 Hooray! 69 All <GIGGLE!> END.
