Drake holds a slim 32-29 lead in the all-time series after taking both matchups last year. The Braves are 4-3 in the last seven meetings with the Bulldogs and 5-4 in the last nine. Bradley has won four of the last five home matches in the series with Drake and 12 of the last 17 contests in Peoria. Overall, the Braves own a 15-14 edge in home contests against the Bulldogs. home cooking After playing 15 of the first 17 matches away from home in 2016, Bradley will finally get to enjoy some home cooking for a change with the Braves playing four of the next five contests at home and six of the next nine at Renaissance Coliseum. In fact, Bradley will play eight of the next nine matches in the state of Illinois. climbing the charts Junior Jamie Livaudais recorded her 500th career kill Friday at Missouri State to become the 40th player in program history to reach the mark. In addition to ranking among the league leaders in kills, Haslag is second on the team in both aces (12) and digs (156). She is the first player in program history to tally 200 kills, 150 digs, 12 aces and at least 25 blocks as both a freshman and sophomore. Haslag enters a two-match home stand with 498 career kills in 46 career matches and needs just two kills in her next match to become the second fastest individual in school history to 500 career kills. how sweep it is Bradley matched its overall (6) and Missouri Valley Conference win total from the entire 2015 season with the Oct. 1 sweep of Evansville. The Braves won a match in the first-half of Valley play for the first time since 2013 and the three-set victory against the Purple Aces was the team s first sweep of a Valley opponent since Nov. 1, 2014. Bradley needs one more win for the team s most victories since tallying 13 wins in 2013. on the mark Senior middle blocker Kelsey Cave continues to rank among the league leaders in hitting percentage. Through six MVC contests, Cave is averaging 2.84 kills per set and is sixth in the Valley in hitting percentage at.330. In fact, her season hitting percentage of.351 would break the previous Bradley season record of.344 set by Rachel Jones in 2013 and Cave has a chance to become just the fourth individual in program history to hit over.300 in a season while collecting at least 150 kills. The last Brave to tally 150 kills and hit over.300 in a season was Jenna Passman in 2003.

The last stretch of at least 13 road/neutral site matches was in 1985 (14 consecutive) and Bradley had never started a season with 13 consecutive matches away from home to start a season prior to this fall. Marika Giguere reached the mark in a school record 37 matches. Haslag is currently 41st in school history with 498 career kills in 46 career matches. Picking up where she left off Senior middle blocker Kelsey Cave ended the 2015 season on a strong note averaging 2.00 kills per set while attacking at a.318 clip over the final 11 matches and has picked up where she left off to start 2016. Cave collected a then career high of 18 kills and eight blocks, while hitting.441 in the season-opener at Milwaukee for the first outing by a Brave of more than 15 kills and at least eight blocks since 2005. An all-tournament selection at all three of Bradley s tournaments to start the 2016 campaign, Cave is fifth in the MVC in hitting percentage (.351) and is averaging 2.72 kills along with a team-best 0.81 blocks per set. strong debut Freshman setter Erin Olson was one of two freshmen in the starting lineup for the Braves in the season opener at Milwaukee and collected four kills, 49 assists, seven digs and four blocks. Olson is the seventh freshman setter to start a season opener over the last 25 years for the Braves, with her four kills, 49 assists and four blocks all tops among freshman setters in a season opener during that span. She collected her first career doubledouble against UTEP Sept. 3, finishing with 19 assists and a then season-best 10 digs. Cave, who has hit over.300 in 19 of her last 28 matches going back to last season, boasted an.812 hitting percentage against Akron back on Aug. 27, which ranks as the second-best hitting percentage in school history behind Lindsay Stalzer s record.867 set against Indiana State on Sept. 14, 2002. Since returning from an injury which sidelined her for a third of the 2015 season last October, Cave owns a.339 hitting percentage (227-57-501) over her last 28 matches. bradley match attack percentage Rk. She opened the year with a then career-best 19 digs. Cave hit.545 for the weekend and averaged 3.64 kills and 1.45 blocks per set in the three outings. Strength in numbers Bradley returns a bulk of its lineup from 2015 in 2016 with the returning players combining for over 80 percent of the team s kills last fall. In fact, Bradley s returners combined for 60 percent of the team s aces and nearly 70 percent of the blocks from last year. In addition, the Braves will benefit from the return of redshirt-junior Melissa Hoerber and redshirt-junior Rachel Jones. Hoerber played in the first two matches of 2015, before suffering a season-ending concussion and has yet to see action in 2016. A member of the 2013 MVC All-Freshman Team, Jones has missed the last two seasons due to medical reasons. Young combo Sophomores Erica Haslag and Allison Turner paced Bradley in kills last year with Haslag s 295 kills ranking as the fourth-best season total by a Bradley freshman in school history and Turner adding 218 kills of her own. The Braves had two freshmen with 200 or more kills for just the third time in program history. In fact, Haslag became just the sixth freshman in school history to lead the team in kills and had the most kills by a Bradley frosh since Marika Giguere had 326 kills in 2000. Turner s 218 kills rank 15th among Bradley freshman marks and the duo s 513 kills rank as the second highest combined kill total by a pair of Bradley freshmen behind Jenny Pavlas (301 kills) and Joy Ostendorf (251 kills) total of 552 kills in 1993. bradley freshman kills Rank Name Year Kills MP 1.
