Senior All Star Bowling Association Out on the Twig Volume 15, Issue 9 April 25, 2005 INSIDE THIS ISSUE: Ft. Johnson Director at Large: Robert Gibbs General Counsel: Marshall Medlin SASBA South Central Dir: Jim Kimg Jim King, after neck surgery and three months of rehab, captured the Ebonite Senior Tour title in Enid. King started with a commanding lead in the first eight game round of qualifying, Second place, Rick Talley led the qualifying and rolled a big last game to get to second. Mark Estes started slow but bowled the best in the finals to get to third. Grady Creasie rolled a 289 game the last game to rise to fourth. Jim Ensminger finished fifth. The bowling condition required precision shot KING IS BACK making on both sides. King, Talley, and Ensminger all averaged 220 which was great bowling. My take on the new format was that is was great. The only bad thing was that the B Squad bowled much better that the A Squad on Saturday. Maybe all of the stripping of the lanes opened them up as we went along. If we bowled on that condition all of the time we would be better bowlers. The Ebonite Firecracker Tournament Jamie s Tournament Notes Alvin Glover rolled a 116 low game of the tournament to win the dog of the week award. Phil Bailey keft the lily, but is was not a real lily, yeah it was. We will let Phil explain. Tricky Dicky Smith left the ringing 1-2-3-5-6-7-9-10. Tricky he is. Jimmy Young brought Pat Cahalan as a guest and Pat knocked Jimmy out of the finals. Pat Currie made the finals. Captian Eddie showed and got the high block Sunday check. There were too many RB s will be held at Don Carter City View in Fort Worth over the fourth of July weekend. Our next Event is our annual Member- Member Doubles Tournament.. Only one champion can bowl together, super seniors are exempt. We already have a good early entry. There are 64 lanes and will accommodate more than we ever have had entered. See ya there. to mention. Tommy Crouch had a SW minus one. The Arkansas Coach could not get Dewayne Thompson to finish higher than eleventh.
