Carnival Information 14-21January 2018 Melbourne For ages 11 yrs 9 mths to 16 Years 6, 7, 8 and 9 Costs - Registration Fee Early Bird - $699 closes 28 September 2017 From 1 October price increases to $799 Sibling discount of 10% until 28 September, reducing to 5% from 1 October Registrations close 30 November 2017 All costs to participate including 5 lunches and 1 or 2 dinners will confirm once program finalised. Costs - Uniform set includes 1 polo, 1 shorts - $55 Cancellation policy: Cancellations before 21 November incur admin fee of $60 Cancellations after 21 November but before 19 December incur admin fee of $120 Cancellations after 19 December will be assessed on a case by case basis. No refund on uniforms
Carnival What s New Competitive Tournament This will take place in parallel with other carnival sporting activities Teams will compete in netball, soccer*, basketball and tennis. When registering for Carnival, participants can select up to a maximum of two of the above sports and will need to confirm the team they currently play for and the division they are playing in. Subject to commitments teams will be selected to take into account the standard of the participants Participants do not need to play for a current Maccabi club but will need to be playing their chosen sport on a regular basis. Participants are not required to select competitive sport as an option. *soccer may be played in either full field, small sided or futsal formats depending on number of participants
Carnival What s New Colour Games Working in parallel to the Competitive tournament and for when not competing. Will be placed in teams of 15-20 across gender, states and ages Will be challenged across a variety of activities and sports from the traditional to the very untraditional 3v3 basketball; 5v5 netball Movie production Tug of war Old school athletics and swimming days Amazing Race All aimed at keeping you active, engaged, interested, feeling part of a team

A Typical Day at Carnival Morning session 9-9.30am start Lunch together at Pitt Lane lunch provided including a chillout zone Kosher food and drinks will also be on sale Afternoon session, pick up by 5:00pm, except for those days where we will run the program straight into the evening session and provide dinner 1 or 2 nights Home to freshen up Evening social function

Sports Competitive sport will only be in tennis, basketball, netball and soccer/football** Other than competitive sport, everyone will do everything Take the opportunity to: Try new things Just have fun Help your team succeed ** This competitive tournament will be run as either as either a full/half or indoor tournament.

Uniforms Same shirts and shorts as past few years Top $30 / Shorts $25 If you require a full new uniform or components of the uniform, please try on uniform sample sizes to fill in on Uniform Order Form either at Info Evening, or at Maccabi Office please call first on 9563 5885. Please note that Uniform Sizes are NOT required on the Registration Form, so you CAN Register for Carnival before coming to the office for Uniform Tryon. No refund, only exchanges.

Kids can stay at Pit Lane in air-conditioned environment.
Billeting Billeting is what differentiates Carnival and we want everyone to experience this aspect Arranged by Carnival Management You can arrange your own billet with a visiting family, simply advise us on the registration form Every home must host a billet, with only one billet per participating child Include your request for friends when you register, but there are no guarantees Every adult in the household will be required to submit a valid working with children check
Member Protection & Code of Conduct Must be read and agreed to by participants and parents by checking the box All participants must comply with Code of Conduct Billeting Smoking, Alcohol and Illegal drugs Policy, new caffeine policy Weapons Personal violence and bullying / cyber bullying Serious offenses will result in children being sent home at your expense Code of Conduct can be located, read and printed from the Registration site Each adult in the billeting house required to have a valid working with children check

You can help The organising committee is always looking for more people to assist. You can assist in the lead up to the Carnival, or at the Carnival. We will need parents to help out in particular on the beach day, so please nominate on the registration form your capacity to assist We are also recruiting Youth Leaders, aged between 18 and 25
