WE DON T JUST MAKE PADDLE BOARDS, WE MAKE PADDLEBOARDERS Each wave ridden, each lake explored and each river conquered tells a fun story. We at Imagine Surf are lucky enough to be part of that wave, lake and river. We are lucky enough to be part of that story. Simply put, we make things that help write the story. But these are not anything kind of things. These are good things. These are things dreamed up by the human mind and handcrafted by the human hand whose sole purpose is to have fun. At Imagine, we can t think of a better reason to design, test and build things if not to have fun. For 2014, we present a bunch of things that will allow you to have as much fun as possible on the water. We have built a bunch of things to help everybody to experience and enjoy this great sport and lifestyle we call paddle boarding. We do not measure ourselves by the size of our line or the complexity or variety of these things we build, but by how much fun these things are to use and how many people we can introduce this fun lifestyle to. This is the reason we say we don t just make paddle boards, we make paddleboarders. We hope to see you on the water.

It is important to me to team up with a company that shares my philosophy, ethics, and authenticity... We have a saying around the water cooler at Imagine. How can you trust your equipment if your designer doesn t know how to use the products they design? Fortunately for us, our head designer also happens to be the guy who helped start it all. Dave Kalama certainly needs no introduction, but for those who may not be aware, he reintroduced stand up paddleboarding to the masses in the mid 90 s with good friend Laird. Dave is a Hawaiian waterman who comes from a lineage of surfing and paddling champions. He has been at the start of it all- professional windsurfing, pioneering big wave tow surfing, and stand up paddleboarding. Designing his own equipment in each of these disciplines has given Dave a wealth of experience that is built into each product Imagine makes. If you are ever fortunate enough to attend one of Dave s Kalama Kamps, you will have the chance to rub shoulders with one of our sports true legends, and witness the level of expertise, information and passion he brings to the world of standup paddleboarding and Imagine Surf.

BOARD TECHNOLOGY For 2014 we have three board construction technology options all designed to deliver maximum fun for your SUP needs- Epoxy, Plastic and Inflatable. You may be asking yourself How do I know which kind of technology would be right for me? It all depends on where you will be using your board, what you will be using your board for, and lets face it, how much money you have to spend on a board. EPOXY TECHNOLOGY Epoxy started it all. This technology comes from the surf industry and consists of light foam shapes wrapped with mixtures of fiberglass cloth, wood veneers and epoxy resin. This is technology perfected by surfboard builders and brought to stand up paddling. Epoxy boards are light, stiff, and great performers, but are less durable than plastic or inflatable boards. As each board takes over 20 hours to build and materials are not cheap, they tend to be more expensive than plastic or inflatable varieties. Each epoxy model is built slightly different according to intended use. Check out these construction methods in the following pages. PLASTIC TECHNOLOGY Our plastic boards are extremely durable, perform great and have great outfitting features in an affordable price range. They are hollow boards constructed similar to a plastic kayak, and tend to be heavier than epoxy or inflatable boards. There is a reason that plastic is the number one material for all kayaks on the water- it paddles great and withstands years of use at a great price. Our plastic boards are made using a complex blow molding process that allows us to use 20% post consumer recycled content and form a 100% recyclable product. We like this, and so does the ocean. INFLATABLE TECHNOLOGY Our inflatable boards are light, durable, portable and are gaining popularity at an accelerated rate. They cost more than a plastic board and fit in just below an epoxy board. We use a technology called drop stitch where hundreds of thousands of threads connect the deck to the bottom of the board. This allows the boards to be pumped up to 19 psi making them extremely stiff for an inflatable product. If you have concerns about durability, weight, storage or travel logistics, our inflatable boards are the answer. They even come in a transportable backpack!

Surfing fin for longboard style surfing Kalama RTM Fins Dave Kalama has designed a balanced range of performance RTM honeycomb fins to suit the needs of the most discerning paddler. Use the DK1 as a thruster set up on the Snap, or combine the DK1 and DKS side fins for a quad set up on the Snaps. The DK1 side fins and 7 inch center fin work great for the Fluids if you are looking for more drive and hold. Or if you prefer to loosen the Fluid up go with the 7inch center fin and DKS side bites. The DK 9 inch center fin combined with the DKS is the combo of choice for the Recruits and Crossovers. The DK 10 inch center fin is a great all round downwind and racing fin for the Rockets and Connectors offering good speed as well as tracking characteristics, yet when it gets up on the plane will surf great. 1. Wheels Wheelie This clever little wheel snaps in and out of any longboard finbox in a second, so you can transport any SUP to and from the water effortlessly. Duelie The Duelie is the bigger more stable version of the Wheelie. The wider footprint makes the board more stable when pulling it over uneven terrain. Leash Surf Leash Everyone wipes out no matter how good you are. In fact, if you re not wiping out, you re not surfing hard enough.
