Cycling policy Objectives to be reached in 2020 growth of the use of cycling (increase of the modal split) reduction of death (47%) and heavy injured (34%) moped and cyclists (2020 2002)

Subgoals High Quality Cycle Routes (Fietsroute Plus) The bike intensity on a high quality cycle route (Fietsroute Plus) must be at least 15% increase in 2020 The average user must give at least an 8 after completion of the Fietsroute Plus Bike safety: the number of serious casualties has to reduce in 3 years time to 50% compared to a period of three years earlier

Subgoals All other cycleroutes At all other provincial bicycle routes, the use in 2020 must be at least equal to the intensity cycling in 2010 Increase the number of journeys made by bicycle in the province of Groningen in the pre-or post-transport by car or public transport (chain mobility)
