Construction Hull and deck: Gelcoat finish, with vacuum infused vinyl ester resin, multi axial glass fibre,with a closed cell foam core. Marine grade BS1088 gaboon plywood used in the fit out.very robust, but lightweight for towing, launching and recovery, with excellent osmosis protection. Deck: Mahogany varnished comings around the cockpit offer protection and finish off the spacious, sit in cockpit. The four large cockpit lockers including dedicated outboard stowage that complies with boat safety scheme regs. The raised cockpit seats have the deck scuppers behind them to drain any water away from the seats. Removable cockpit sole boards with a large sump beneath for bilge pump. Companionway sliding hatch and varnished ply washboards, with teak trim. Draining forward well for anchor stowage, mooring cleat etc. Outboard well with hull infill, petrol storage and lid, suitable for up to 6hp outboards. Teak hand rails on coachroof. Moulded in easy to clean non-slip finish. Deck fittings: Barton deck gear and bespoke stainless steel tabernacle. Three mooring cleats, fairleads forward. Engines This Kite is powered by the German made Torqeedo Travel 1003 electric outboard motor mounted in a dedicated engine well. The motor is said to be equivalent to a 3hp conventional outboard and should give around 4 hours use at half power or 30 minutes at full power. If no motor is required the hole for the drive leg can be blanked using a moulded blanking plate which reduces drag, increasing sailing efficiency. Torqeedo Travel 1003 Electric Motor
Sails and Rigging Lightweight white painted carbon fibre tubes, with stainless steel fittings and stainless steel standing rigging. Spruce varnished bow sprit with a bobstay. Varnished ash gaff jaws. The mast, gaff and boom are easy to raise and lower, and easy to stow for trailing. Cleats for outhaul and reefing lines conveniently positioned on the boom. Hooks on gooseneck for easy reefing. All running rigging in braid on braid polyester. McNamara sails in cream Dacron, with two reef points in the mainsail and three leech battens. 2 x Furling jibs.
Accommodation and layout Cabin interior: Two berths, satin white finish with teak trim, bunk cushions as standard, two tinted, toughened glass cabin side portholes, and two opening cabin front portlights. Removable sink bowl, and ample provision in galley area for portable stove. Rack for plate and cutlery towage, under bridge deck. Ample storage space for the family, and provision for a porta potti which can be stowed in a one of the large cockpit lockers when not needed.
