We had a good showing with fourteen rigs in attendance. Phil and Louise Huntman, who live in Tavares, FL visited us with their new travel trailer. After visiting the weekend they joined our Golden Triangle Sams. Their contact info is in the updated member list which Janet Marks emailed everyone. Cares & Concerns Our Sympathies go out to Cliff Chase for the loss of his son. Tricia Green had a hip replacement and is at home recuperating. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers. Phil and Louise Huntman new members On Thursday afternoon we had heavy hors d oeuvres in-lieu-of dinner. That was followed by games. Friday was a relaxing day. Some of the ladies went shopping in Mt Dora. Friday evening members went to three different restaurants to enjoy the food of their choice. November Campout News Southern Palms RV Resort We started off the month on November 1 st with a campout at Southern Palms. Many of us attending the Good Sams Florida Fall Rally next week More Fast Track instruction 1

This was followed by a riddle game and teaching more members to play Fast Track. We now have a hard core group of Fast Track addicts. Saturday Breakfast and Meeting Saturday morning started with a great French toast and sausage breakfast provided by our hosts, the Lundmarks, Himes and Litz. This was followed by our business meeting where we decided where we would distribute over $3500 of charitable donations, and we elected officers for next year. Our Monthly Baseball Game Saturday afternoon we held our baseball game outside on a beautiful day. We drew pink and blue tickets for teams, so instead of team 1 and team 2, this month we were team pink and team blue. The pink team, which happened to be mostly guys, was the winner of a close 6 to 5 game. The winning team Saturday Dinner and Games GTS meeting What a great looking group We designated the following donations to charities, $3600.00 total. Veterans Helping Veterans - $500 Florida Guide Dogs - $500 Camp Boggy Creek - $1,000 K-9 Partners for Patriots $500 St. Jude's Hospital - $400 Samaritan's Purse - $500 for Florida hurricane victim relief Loaves and Fishes - $200 to purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving The following members were elected officers for next year: President: Mickey Marks Vice President: Sharon Hime Secretary: Carol Griffin Treasurer: Debby Lundmark Saturday evening we all enjoyed a great potluck dinner with sloppy joes provided by the hosts. We then celebrated the birthdays and anniversaries for the month. Birthdays were celebrated after dinner Saturday evening we had a fun team building game. The object was to use only the materials provided (four strings and a rubber band) to stack up solo cups without ever touching the cups. 2

All together now Almost there! Florida State Fall 2018 Rally We have eleven rigs signed up for the rally next week. The theme is Wild Wild West. Bring western attire as we plan to walk in the parade. The Saturday dinner will be a nice catered dinner at a cost of $15.00 each. See payment info in flyer below. 2. Chinese gift exchange Bring one gift per rig with a value of $15.00-$20.00. 3. Bring canned goods and pet food to donate one can per foot of your rig. 4. There will be an optional Christmas card exchange for those who want to participate. 5. Decorate your rig in the Christmas spirit. Wreaths Across America What Is this part of the game? Mark your calendar for December 15 th to meet at the National Cemetery in Bushnell to lay wreaths. More info will follow next month. 3

Golden Triangle Sam's Minutes November 3, 2018 President, Steve Griffin, called the meeting of Golden Triangle Sam's to order at Southern Palms RV Park in Eustis, Florida at 10:04 A.M. The Invocation was given by Kenneth Culp and past presidents Dale Horn and Mickey Marks led the group in the Pledge to the Flag. Secretary, Rose Mary Culp, called the roll. There were 12 members in attendance. Carol Griffin welcomed Phil and Louise Huntman who joined when the meeting ended. Jan Heise moved and Ken Culp seconded that minutes from the previous meeting be approved as sent out. The motion carried. Treasurer, Penny Ritenburgh, was absent, so Charlie Green presented the Treasurer's Report she had provided. There was a reported a balance of $6,367.61 for the previous month. There was income of $119.77 and expenditures of $45.23 leaving a balance of $6,442.15. Sharon Hime moved and Marie Galusha seconded that the treasurer's report be approved. The motion passed. There were no bills presented for payment. Committee Reports: Membership: Carol Griffin No report Sunshine: Cookie Green Tricia Green will have hip surgery November 6 th. Derek Pymer has moved into a retirement center and seems to be adjusting well. He will be 97 in January. Newsletter: Jan Heise No report Webmaster: Janet Marks No report Hosts: Himes, Lundmarks, and Litz's. Beanbag baseball at 1:00, Happy Hour at 3:00 and dinner at 5:30. Loaves and Fishes: Janet and Mickey Marks We were informed that Loaves and Fishes will be purchasing turkeys for Thanksgiving. We were reminded to bring canned goods next month. One can per foot of your rig is suggested. Books to Vets: Kenneth and Rose Mary Culp It was reported that magazines were delivered to the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa. Camping Schedules: Janet Marks The 2019 calendar had a few spots that needed to be filled. Volunteers stepped up. Shirts: Sharon Hime Let Sharon know if you would like to order shirts. Keep in mind screen printed team shirts must be ordered in quantity, but the polo shirts can be ordered at any time. Sharon said she will check on getting visors through our shirt provider. Old Business: 1. The December campout has been moved from Lake Oklawaha to Wild Frontier, Ocala, FL. Discussion regarding the menu followed. It was suggested by the committee that we have MoJo's cater the meal. The price is $15 per meal. Please make out checks for the meal to the chapter and mail to Carol Griffin. A motion to have the chapter pay for taxes, gratuity and set up fee was made by Jan Heise and seconded by Phyllis Horn. 2. The Fall Rally will be held in Eustis, Florida. The theme is Wild, Wild West. It was suggested that members dress as westerners and participate in the parade. We will be doing Hospitality. Carol Griffin will create a schedule. She asked for a show of hands from those who will be attending. We have opportunities for fund raising. We have gift cards, and a beautiful quilt donated by Jim Gonya. Dale Horn encouraged members to attend the rally. New Business 1. Elections: The following people have agreed to serve: President - Mickey Marks, Vice President Sharon Hime, Secretary Carol Griffin, Treasurer Debby Lundmark. The opportunity was given for anyone wishing to be considered. Since there were no other volunteers, President, Steve Griffin proposed we accept the officers as listed. This was seconded by Bob Sims. The motion carried. The officers will be installed in December. Volunteers will remain the same. 2. President, Steve Griffin, announced that Wreaths Across America will be laying wreaths at Florida National Cemetery on December 15 th at 10:30 A.M. He mentioned that in the past we have donated $150 to purchase ten wreaths. Ken Culp made a motion to purchase the same amount as before and Dotty Weis seconded the motion. The motion carried. 3. Designation of monies to be donated to charities. a. Veterans Helping Veterans - $500 b. Florida Guide Dogs - $500 c. Camp Boggy Creek - $1,000 d. K-9 Partners for Patriots $500 e. St. Jude's Hospital - $400 f. Samaritan's Purse - $500 for hurricane victim relief g. Loaves and Fishes - $200 to purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving President, Steve Griffin asked all those in favor of the above donations to signify by saying Aye. The donations listed were passed. 4. December campout will be at Wild Frontier, Ocala: December (6 th ) 7th-9th 5. 50/50 results - $20 was collected with $10 going to the chapter and $10 being won by Ted Litz. 6. Charlie Green moved that we adjourn the meeting. Phyllis Horn seconded the motion. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 A.M. Respectfully submitted, Rose Mary Culp 6
