The Races World Class Racing The Irish Derby Festival is now in its 154th Year and is the premier race meeting in Ireland for thoroughbred horses. Bringing together a host of international racing professionals, trainers and jockeys who compete over three fabulous days, to settle scores and enhance reputations. Falling the week after Royal Ascot and a month after the English Derby and Oaks the meeting attracts the very best European horses year after year. Three days of world class racing start on Thursday 27th June with a full evening race card. (You are welcome to attend this meeting and join the welcome BBQ when you return to the hotel if you wish.) Friday 28th June features a high quality race card including the prestigious Pretty Polly Stakes and a number of Group and Listed races. Starting at 2pm and concluding at 6pm. Saturday 29th June is Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day, the pinnacle of the flat race season.
