Laclede County 4-H Clover News University of Missouri Extension September 2016 Edition 4-H members, parents and volunteers, Summer is gone and everyone is back at school. Laclede County 4-H has been busy with camps, fairs and other events this summer of 2016. I feel like it has been an eventful and busy summer for almost all 4-Hers in Laclede County. Oct 1 is the date to start re-enrollment for this coming year of 2016-17. Those of you that are currently members should breeze thru 4honline enrollment this year. For newcomers, feel free to ask for help if needed. We are asking for everyone that possibly can to pay with a credit or debit card this year. If you cannot, contact me at the office to make arrangements. Project record forms are due in the office September 2. Every member needs to try and fill out at least one of these on their projects for the past year. If you are unfamiliar with this program, ask myself or a club leader to help. If you are not doing this, you are missing out on the completion of a project and being recognized for it. It looks like we will have a great group of adult volunteers offering county wide projects this year. Over 25 project areas and 11 or 12 new ones. We will have a list out the end of September to pick from. If you have never enrolled in a county wide project I encourage you to try one. They are open to any member from any club. It really adds to the overall 4-H experience and gives every member a lot of choice in projects above and beyond just the club level. Club leaders are meeting on September 13 at 6 pm. at the extension office. Please have one or more leaders (representatives) from your group attend. I am proud of all our members who represented us at Ozark Empire Fair, State Fair and other events this summer. I hope everyone is looking forward to a good 4-H year of 2016-17 and will make plans to try something new in 4-H this upcoming year.
