SARDINIA ADVENTOURING CELLULARLINE -A REAL OFFROAD ADVENTURE- 20-25 APRIL 2019 Welcome to a new event that will soon become a "MUST" in the European two wheeled offroad scene. The well known formula of ADVENTOURING, a non competitive event with medium / high displacement bikes (single-cylinder or twin-cylinder with a minimum range of 200km) that travel, in stages, with GPS tracks, without stopwatch and without stress of infinite mileage (about 250/300 per day), enriched by the place: the magical Sardinia, famous for its magnificent natural-themed roads that cross forests, high mountains, coastline and a myriad of villages and hamlets of rare beauty where they meet again populations proud and rooted in their splendid traditions. You can choose the driving mode you prefer: 100% OFFROAD or 100% ROAD so you can quench your thirst for endless dirt roads or folds on asphalt! Sardinia will be crossed far and wide, with organized bivouacs and overnight stays with dinners that will make you savor the great quality and Sardinian hospitality. The new formula also provides the opportunity to participate in a "SOCIAL-CONTEST" where participants must post with the hastag #SardiniaAdventouring all the waypoints, thus participating in a "digital ranking" with important prizes. On the day of arrival you can take part in a Basic Course of Off-Road Driving Techniques and a Basic Course using GPS; there will be a tire change service on site for those who need it, with the option of leaving their own train at the hotel and reassembling it at the end of the event. There will be the presence of vehicles for the transport of luggage and pick-up assistance to recover vehicles in the breakdown and technical support vehicle for changing tires in stages. The event will give the opportunity to all participants to take a very busy holiday in Sardinia, taking advantage of an Easter bridge: 20-25 April. Last sore point: how do I do with my wife and children? No problem: our jeeps will follow the raid and bring the families along the stages through direct transfers, allowing them to visit the island anyway and the beautiful villages where we will stop.
LOCATION Sardinia is an Italian island among the largest in the Mediterranean, has three international airports connected with all of Europe and 4 commercial ports with routes on the rest of Italy, France, Spain. Sardinia has a Mediterranean climate mitigated by sea currents with spring temperatures from March and warm climates from May to November and mild winters from December to February. Sardinia is famous all over the world for its incredible landscape and environmental diversity and has thousands of kilometres of coastline with white beaches and crystal clear waters, half of quality tourism and active tourists looking for outdoor sports. Sardinia involves about 8% of the European motorcycle-tourism flow that comes to the island for the winding scenic roads practically deserted from September to June, as well as for the famous food and wine throughout Italy.
STAGES 20 April Olbia: 08: 00-12: 00: Acceptance and change of tires on site for those who need it with the possibility to leave their own train at the hotel and reassemble at the end of the event 10: 00-11: 00: Basic course of off-road driving techniques 11: 00-12: 00: Basic course using GPS, 12:00 am: Briefing 2.00 pm: Stage 1 Olbia-Castelsardo (150 km off-road route, 250 km route) 21 April: Stage 2 Castelsardo-Alghero-Bosa (offroad itinerary: 210km, route street 350km) 22 April: Stage 3 Bosa-Arborea (160km off-road itinerary, 400km route) 23 April: Stage 4 Arborea-Iglesias (offroad 200km route, 400km route) 24 April: Stage 5 Iglesias-Isili-Villanova Strisaili (offroad 280km route, route 450km street) 25 April: Stage 6 Villanova S.-Cala Gonone -Olbia (offroad 280km route, 400km route) OFF-ROAD TRAILING TYPE - the routes will be 90% offroad of medium and easy difficulty; - areas with compact, rocky, stony, sandy, wet, muddy and fords will be crossed; - asphalt transfer sections will be provided; - the organization exonerates from possible complication of road funds due to climate change; -The routes will touch the countries and cities where it will be possible to refuel; -The routes and the relative GPS tracks can be changed without warning according to the weather conditions and the road surface TYPE OF ROAD TRAILS - the routes will be completely paved except for some possible entry / exit points from some refreshment / overnight stays; about 350/400 km a day
OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTICIPANT -The participants will be merged to groups of 3 people to ensure the minimum conditions of security and individual support or they can choose to rely on professional guides available and walk the stages in groups. - Participants must have a cartographic GPS mounted on the cockpit with a minimum duration of 12 hours that can support external track files, or they can rent it on site the day before the event; - the participants must be equipped with a tubeless repair kit or air chambers and must be able to autonomously manage the first operation up to the first asphalt point for picking up the vehicle; - participants must wear suitable all-terrain equipped with internal protections, high off-road boots, full-face helmet, gloves, water-proof suit. OBLIGATION OF OFF-ROAD VEHICLES - single-cylinder or two-cylinder motorcycles with a minimum range of 200km may participate; -The bikes must be equipped with offroad tires suitable also for sandy, wet and muddy areas; - during the travel days the transport of side cases or trunks will be forbidden; - in case of motorcycle breakage, will be rescued by the support means of the organization (if the road will be reachable by asphalt) and transported at the end of the stage; a first intervention by the organization staff will be foreseen, compatibly with the type of vehicle damage; In case of impossibility of repair, the participant will manage the transport to the port of embarkation by means of a tow truck; - it will not be the organizer's responsibility to assure the participant of any type of vehicle repair, but only the transport from the breaking point to the end of the day.
