Published in Denver Post from Jan. 27 to Feb. 3, 2018 From Pat Terpening (58) Owen: Have to tell a story about Jan when we were at Bushy Park. She lived in the room next door to mine, and my sister was one of her roommates. 2
Late one day there was a problem when one of the boys from the boys dorm decided he needed to visit his girlfriend in the girls dorm, and he was crawling around on the roof over our rooms (there were only 2 rooms in that hallway because the smoking lounge was also in that wing), and the young man came through the roof right in front of our two doors. Jan, who'd just taken a shower and was wrapped in a towel, came down the hallway and looked at the young Air Policeman standing there trying to figure out how to get the boy out of the ceiling, and said "Don't you think you're in the wrong dorm?" The young Air Policeman turned about 50 shades of red and didn't quite know what to say or do about a young lady standing there in a towel. We got quite a laugh out of it, but I'm sure the Air Policeman didn't and neither did the young man hanging from the hole in the ceiling. Doyle Langford, Sr. (57) Daytona Beach, FL Doyle J. Letters to the Editor From: Wally Costa (54) Question from October 2018 Bushy Tales issue: What was the name of the mascot in the male dorm in Surbiton and what kind of a mascot was he?????? Answer: Our Surbiton mascot was a little black mouse and his name was Michidoo. Cheers, Bill. Wally Costa (54) Editor s Note: I had just one response, from Ellis Young (58). His response was incorrect. Does anyone live in the greater Charleston SC area; Charleston, Kiawah, Summerville, Mt. Pleasant and surrounding areas?
